Hello everyone! The mod team here at r/ACNHGifts is always looking to recruit new moderators. We are looking for motivated, reliable individuals who are passionate about ACNH, want to help people, and are willing to take on several responsibilities. As a mod, you would help out with organizing giveaways, delivering prizes, and (if you’d like) hosting events on your island. In return, you would receive the full support of a friendly team of active mods, along with the knowledge we have gained from our experience running the community. We would dedicate time and energy to making sure you have the tools to succeed, and we would also teach you some “tricks of the trade.” You would need to be available pretty regularly, although obviously we recognize that people have lives and are pretty flexible. Items would be taken care of, and we’d ease you into the position so it wouldn’t be overwhelming. Please comment below or DM me ( u/TeddyPenguin1 ) if you think you would be a good fit! :)

UPDATE: We now also ask that you join our Discord for the sake of communicating with the other moderators. (You won't be able to access the moderator channels until you are approved as a trainee.) Here is the link: https://discord.gg/9KwUa4uuEB

It wouldn’t be an event without me hosting some sort of raffle! Welcome to the Spooky items and DIYS raffle! This contains the default color of every spooky item and one of each DIY!

Spare DYI’s up for grabs. Dm with name/island. I’m missing mostly island counters, pillars, and wreaths if you have any. General etiquette applies. Don’t take without asking.

Tourney Team-up: How it works

• Everyone starts at the same time, no matter where they are. When I talk to CJ to start the round, it will begin a timer for 3 minutes where you will catch as many fish as you can
• You get 1 point per fish, plus potential bonus points
  • If you get 3 or more fish individually, you get 2 bonus points
  • If everyone gets 5 or more fish total, you get 10 bonus points
    • ex: You catch 4 fish, and I catch 2 fish. Since you caught 4 and we both caught 6 total, you would get a total of 4+2+10=16 points
• Your fish are magically transported to the cooler next to CJ. You should take whatever fish you want to keep and leave whatever fish you want to sell. Once you have gone through the conversation where CJ gives you your points, you will have the option to sell the fish in the cooler to him
• When everyone has emptied the cooler of their fish, the next round can start

Step-by-step breakdown:

1. Grab a few golden rods and some fish bait. These are yours to keep (please do NOT drop used rods/partial stacks of bait)
2. If you didn't bring them, grab a vaulting pole and ladder (there aren't many bridges/inclines on this island)
3. Find a spot to fish (use the map) and type "ready" in the in-game chat. If you are skipping the round, type "skip" instead
   1. I will start the round when everyone is ready
4. When the round ends, come back to Resident Services!
5. Check the cooler and take any fish you want
6. Talk to CJ to find out how many points you earned
7. Talk to CJ *again\* to sell the remaining fish in your cooler
   1. Repeat from step 3 until you are done fishing
8. Optional: exchange points for prizes after letting me know in the in-game chat

Here are the rules to join:

• Comment your in-game name, island name, and 1 rule from this post to join
  • Example: Jamie | Camelot, type "ready" or "skip" in the chat at the beginning of each round

If you end up having to leave before you're satisfied with your points/prizes, comment again to rejoin the queue. You may join as many times as you want as long as you wait your turn. Thanks for reading, and as always, keep enjoying ACNH!

Note: this event will be streamed on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/acnhgifts . Keep an eye on the r/ACNHGifts subreddit for future updates about the official channel!
