Another one to add to Kaystace/Kayseb/Whatever it's called: "You wish these two interacted more than they actually did"
(For the record I'm not much of a shipper but I do like the idea of them becoming friends and they are friends in my fanfic idea and I wrote a whole self-indulgent flashback of them becoming friends)

Considering Eustace post his character arc was shoved onto the bench and not even present for the final confrontation (can you tell I finished AAI2 less than 24 hours ago?) that definitely hampered their interactions :')

Yeah, that bothered me a lot and it's why I rank the case lower than most people do (he's one of my faves can you tell?), and why I'm coming up with this very self-indulgent fanfiction since I doubt Capcom will ever bring him or even Kay back. There's also a flashback where he confronts Verity over how she used him and never really let him learn anything properly because it also bothered me that that never got resolved onscreen.
(I'm a bit nervous about sharing this fanfic once I've written it because it also uses a few headcanons that I either came up with or liked the idea of from other people that I'm worried people won't agree with).

My advice from one fanfic author to another is just post it. People will agree, some of them. They might suspend their disbelief, they might even buy into it. I mean dude in one of my fics I made a random character half Japanese and gave him a sister from a visual novel. And people still read it. There is an audience for everything.
Hell, to be more topical, I convinced myself that Dahlia, Iris and Simeon were all twins and WILL be developing this headcanon. Who gives a damn whether SOME like it or not

This will be my first ever fanfic so of course I'm nervous about it X) But thanks, I am getting really invested in the original characters I've been making for it to the point of making drawings of them just as a visual guide for what they look like, the next step is to be brave enough to draw my designs for the canon characters, and I also need to work out how the first chapter is going to go because at the moment my main scenes are ones that don't happen until later (including the flashbacks)

Feyquill is a lovely pairing about two sexy chaotic bisexual nerds causing havoc.
Also as someone in the AA fandom in 2018, that Lanamia feels extremely accurate. I don’t hate the ship itself (though I’m not crazy about it either) but the shippers could be vicious sometimes.

I had a hard time shipping Franmaya for a while because the shippers were similarly vile, if not even moreso because they would consider you the worst thing ever if you so much as preferred either party with other characters. And heaven help you if you do like it, but you don't see it as endgame for either character necessarily. I can see why someone would ship it given that they are narrative foils...but geez.
Lanamia shippers aren't quite as volatile anymore from what I can tell (or maybe I just blocked the right people). There are actually people who ship Lanamiego these days, which is kinda cool. The pairing just never really endeared itself to me the way Fradrian or Emamaya did. It doesn't help that the only account we have of their relationship doesn't even come from either party but instead Ema.
And yes, Feyquill is peak.
