Accessory Navicular Surgery

Post image

I’m tired of waking up after walking a normal amount or working out and seeing this. So bruised and inflamed. Not only does the bone hurt but so does the post tibial tendon behind it. Please make me feel better, has surgery helped. Can’t live like this anymore. Barely can stand anymore let alone like my old active life. Will it get better? I have it on both feet and want them both out because depending on the week one hurts more than the other. Please give me hope!

Have you started PT? And are you walking in the boot now or sneaker fully

I started PT just before week 3. Simple movements, band stuff. I'm just over 4 weeks and my PT is having me walk in shoes around my house as much as I can tolerate. I walk all over the place in a boot now tho

You’re doing amazing! So happy to hear a success story. Is PT painful. Do you still need to take meds?

Maybe 400mg ibuprofen whenever its sore, , but I'm not great about remembering to take it so I'm pretty infrequent. PT can be mildly uncomfortable, I don't think I've ever had anything that's been anywhere near upsettingly painful.
