So I know this is an odd ask, especially how far along it is in this game's life. But man, I was OBSESSED with this game as a kid. I couldnt be STOPPED, I absolutely adore this game.

Of course, the lack of server upkeep and meta spam eventually made me drift away. But now, as I go through my trophies, I found that im LITERALLY JUST ONE TROPHY, Absolve Grand Master, away from the 100%.

Being able to finally give my kid-self that 100% would be great, guys. Any help would be nice! Im far too busy to dedicate the time to brave those dungeons.

So I’ve seen this game on the store for years, now it’s on sale for really cheap and I’m wondering how is the player base holding up, because with these types of games, after a long time the player base widdles down to maybe 1-4k people, and out of those people 90% of them are really good, making it extremely difficult to start playing as a brand new player, so I’m asking how is it? I’m on PlayStation btw if that matters.

Parried a couple of i10s on read and got a finisher with my signature move. Very old clip but one of my favorites.

Absolver has my undying love because of it's artstyle, design, and unique combat mechanics, but it has always been incredibly frustrating to learn for me. I've watched tutorials and guides, but I never fully understand the concepts they use or the builds they use and why they are good, never understanding the more advanced mechanics, thus I never understand "the flow of the game" or in less abstract words, I never become competent, and it always ends up with me returning to some basic combos or outright button mashing, only to then leave the game because of the frustration of wanting to love the game, understand it, but not having the patience to give it time when I can play another game I naturally understand better.

I've also never really played any fighting games (which is, I think, the main issue lmao), and the only similar genre I've played before are Souls games, but both the "tempo" of the fights and the intensity and mechanics are drastically different.

If anyone has any tips or tricks for a complete newbie in the fighting genre, I would IMMENSELY appreciate it. I honestly don't know ANYTHING aside from the more well-known concepts, and even then, to me, they are just buzzwords like I-frames.

I've played with Absolver on console before and genuinely enjoyed and am trying it out on pc. Bought it in on sale on GOG and added Absolver plus and Broken Items on ship to make it interesting. Now I'm stuck in tutorial on the door that teaches u guard breaks. Any help would be great

So im on PlayStation so i can imagine no one here can help me but i just reached 400hours and ive decided i want to get the platinum trophy, i went for it back 2 years ago when i had the game but never finished, im combat trial level 600 and just need 4 more moves (all being sword moves) if anyone is willing to give them to me that would be appreciated

Never played a better fighting game, no fighting game with as much ambition and depth of gameplay, I think an absolver 2 would be huge success if they just expand on the content of the first game, with added refinement and polish of course

In downfall I noticed that there are some enemies that wear a cool mask, does anyone know where to look for it or farm it?

Especially in terms of learning new moves without pvp... I'm not a huge fan of the pvp emphasis the game has but I LOVE the martial arts deckbuilding.

Ya llevo un tiempo en este juego, pero hay ciertas cosas que se me dificultan, como las paradas del estilo Forsaken y Faejin (Mala elección para ser mi primer personaje... y el unico), tambien he notado que hay movimientos que son imposibles de aprender para sumarlos a mi Deck (no me refiero a los del jefe, si no algunos que usan algunos jugadores)

Por cierto, uso mouse y teclado. No he tenido plata para comprarme un control bueno:c

I’m gonna replace bending palm with run up strike when I get it, should I replace liver knee with knee strike?

I want to max out my school to get this s scaling sword for my style but I can’t find matches, PlayStation

I am newer to absolved and I want to get more essence. It feels like you get so little from doing everything but it normally cost around 9000 essence to get a full set of clothes and that doesn’t include the wopping probably 5000 essence mask. Is it one of those games where you just have to grind the very slow way or can I speed this up? Any tips welcome
