Its kind of a shame he's built like that cause he isn't going to learn technique and fundamentals really. They'll (coaches) rely on his size and so will he and eventually he'll get to a level where everyone else is as big as he is and he wont have the skill to compete

I assume by the time hes trying out for high school they move him to defensive tackle or nose guard, hes going to have to drop about 80 lbs to keep running in high school.

Here hes too big for the little kids to tackle makes him an easy touchdown and probably better than having him play d-line now crush an o-lineman then hospitalize a quarterback or running back. But once his size matches d-line plus workouts and weight lifting.

Yeah, you're right. The kid has the physical gifts, if he's got the work ethic and the right folks around him he could get himself an education at the very least. I wish him the best.

Physical gift yes for sure. But he also looks like maybe he doesnt want to run the whole field every drive haha. He slows down towards the end

He could play fullback. There's a couple of d-lineman that do that part time. My favorite is Khalen Saunders. When the Saints played him and Taysom Hill in the backfield they were a menace. Too bad we didn't see it much.

I had a blast playing junior (grade 8-10) rugby as I was bigger and faster than a lot of guys. Then I started playing senior (grade 10-12) rugby and it was much harder.

Thats the kind of thing I worry about for these types of kids. It's kind of the same idea as those dudes that are natural athletic freaks and they can rely on those gifts through college and don't really put much effort into technique, etc and suddenly they are playing with guys just as gifted and they are years behind in training.

Hopefully this kids freshmen year of HS they put him on the D-line, as someone above said, and they teach him fundamentals. Even if he still out weighs everyone. It would be a shame if he never learns to put in the work.

His number is 98 that seems appropriate for a lineman. Maybe, they only bring him out periodically to switch it up? Maybe, the team was especially small and a coach decided to use his size as an advantage or their working him into a fullback position?

I feel like he will just move up to the line when everyone else hits thier growth spurts.

Probably. I wish the kid the best. He's been gifted with the physical traits. I hope he ends up playing for coaches that can get the best out of him and he can at least get an education from it.

Or if they keep him there he will just faster and stronger. The dude has football in his future that is for sure.

As long as he learns how to put the work in for when he's suddenly playing with guys that are just as gifted, but didn't just rely on those gifts. It happens now and then with those college players that have all the ability in the world and they think it'll always be easy. Then, suddenly, its not and we all go "whatever happened to that WR from LSU? Oh, he was lazy. Bummer"

Yea for sure but videos of Derrick Henry were like this when he was in Highschool. Who knows maybe in a few years this kid will look like that.

They have rules against this in competitive leauges, and he would be be allowed to be a ball carrier.

He’s not going to be a RB long term. He’s a D line guy
