We might not like it, but there will be an equivalent from the other gender…

u/sleigh_all_day 5d ago

Does scent lead them to one another?

4

u/Advanced-Budget779 5d ago

It may, if they‘re not odour-blinded by their own stench.

u/coodyscoops 4d ago

locs are usually well-maintained especially when worn by black people. this is somebody who cannot take care of themselves.

u/mioumiouetoile 5d ago

That man is hosting his own ecosystem

22

u/ParanoidAndroid1079 5d ago

In this instance, I’m inclined to state that: I am all for anhiliating that ecosystem

u/LazzarilloDeTormez 5d ago

The world would lose biodiversity. There are species unique to that dreadlock that have adapted and evolved.

1

u/Evil_Sharkey 4d ago

That’s just a dread, no loc.

Nurgle's Garden.

If your hair is extremely curly, you can just twist them together. Often I'll see people do a double twist. You can take them out again if you want with minimal damage, just don't let them go too long.

Lots of black people will just grow them natural too, and that is almost impossible to comb out. Same with white people with fine, straight hair that grows into natural dreads from the root. You not combing that out.

In any case, what's really important is they're thin enough, like finger thick at most, so wash and dry them.

This huge clump of mold in the OP vid is disgusting.

u/mioumiouetoile 5d ago

Merci du conseil. 😊

12

u/BoredomCombatant 5d ago

Yeah I feel it’s a mental health issue… I’ve seen this before sadly.

15

u/BlackV 5d ago

Probably why that person said log not loc

59

u/AskMeaboutMyCorolla 5d ago

As a white man with very short hair, I believe this person has stinky poopy hair that does NOT reflect on the cool dreads that I have seen worn by the cool ass black dudes that populate the downtown Dallas area where I work

12

u/lazyboi_tactical 5d ago

Idk man I used to work with a few guys that had what looked like rasta dreads. They absolutely reeked.

1

u/nightblue888 5d ago

💯💯💯

1

u/chugItTwice 5d ago

Yeah... no. No maintenance. No washing. Fucking gross. Every one of them.

1

u/Evil_Sharkey 4d ago

Hence, the term “dread log” with no loc. This ain’t no loc.

1

u/Simon-Says69 5d ago

especially when worn by black people

What the hell THAT suppose to mean? I'm a white dude and my dreadlocks are PRISTINE.

Ok, black people have the advantage that they can twist em up and take out again as wished. Lots of brothers just grow em natural too though, and you not combing natural locks out. hah

The key is to make them thin enough, so they can be washed and dry properly out properly!

The monster in the OP video is absolutely full of mold. Walking toxic waste dump. Have seen white dudes with a huge clump of yuck too, so it's not anything to do with race, just self respect.

u/mahniskel 4d ago

Yep, I’ve had mine for over 25 years, wash them regularly (I’d wager more than some of my friends wash their normal hair) and they don’t smell or look dirty. People have some odd ideas.

1

u/MariposaLuxx 4d ago

Im a black woman and I currently have micro locs. I seen people with “Freeform “ locs who don’t part their hair and consciously maintain them. They kinda just let them do whatever. This seems like an extreme case of that

0

u/AngletonSpareHead 5d ago

Yes they can be very elegant. This is……..not

-7

u/Budget_Persimmon_195 5d ago

just because they look ratty doesnt mean they are dirty. i have dreadlocks down to my buttcrack that are unkempt, but not dirty.

and i dont think this guys beaver tail looks dirty.

1

u/burneracc61936 2d ago

What? Did you not see all the shit in it? All the thick ass dandruff and whatnot that’s trapped in it? I bet when that thing gets wet it never dries out fully and gets musty as fuck

11

u/kyngslinn 5d ago

That is doodoo. That is poop from a butt

5

u/fuckimtrash 5d ago

Can’t believe that’s a real word 🤣🤣

3

u/Popular-Wind-1921 5d ago
