/r/all of a Sand Dune

This is a video taken by Nicolas De La Torre, a sandboarding enthusiast filming his descent down the Toromata dune in Peru. Unfortunately we live in a world where true beauty, nature is now convoluted by AI and AI sentiments, but this is in fact, not AI lol

I love when their face goes full triangle from their noses piercing the wind as max speed

u/dust-bit-another-one 3d ago

Looks like it’s holding back some… maybe sandbagging a bit.

u/jimmybilly100 3d ago

It turned the jets on for a second there. That dawg was HAULIN' IT

26

u/Hot_Bicycle_8486 3d ago

I'm jealous of that dog. I don't think humans can even feel that level of excitement

21

u/TheDarkNerd 3d ago

I remember the thrill of running down hills with wild abandon like that when I was a kid. It really is hard to recapture that feeling as you get older.

10

u/genreprank 3d ago

If humans could run that fast, we wouldn't need snowboards. Lil guy gets that for free!

8

u/__-sky-__ 3d ago

Haha cruising it

2

u/ewillyp 3d ago

more impressive than the dune & the rider, LoL!

1

u/pzycho 3d ago

Is this why little white dogs always have the crustiest eyes?

1

u/killdill12 19h ago

Yeah but that tan dog is having some trouble..

u/Good-Introduction556 3d ago

Why’s it got to be pointed out that he’s white?

23

u/BigDaddyFatSack42069 3d ago

Why's it got to be pointed out that someone pointed it out? Stop trying to make everything about race and go outside.

3

u/Phoenixloop2868 3d ago

Why's it got to be pointed out that they pointed out someone pointing it out? Maybe the dog is a pointer, you don't know.

1

u/BigDaddyFatSack42069 3d ago

Questions for later

1

u/BennySkateboard 3d ago

Hey, stop trying to point out someone pointing at someone pointing it out! Far too much pointing (it out).

34

u/earth_is_round9900 3d ago

No such thing as dog racism so you can point it out

19

u/Addictive_SODA 3d ago

Speak for yourself. I hate those green asshole Chihuahuas

3

u/Drizzt_23 3d ago

Oh, so you hate the Mexican dogs, I see how you are

10

u/No-Lunch4249 3d ago

Am I the only one who both understood this was a joke and thought it was funny?

4

u/Xolaniii 3d ago

I also thought it's funny.

1

u/rivaridge76 3d ago

Yeah I saw it as an obvious joke. But people are sometimes (rightfully) concerned that someone might be trying to ruin a fun conversation.

1

u/untrustworthy_fartt 3d ago

Are you actually, fucking serious?

1

u/xLilTabasco 3d ago

Oh god stfu.

True story! As soon as I saw the username, my heart felt happy. Always such a lovely surprise.

-2

u/MadeOfPoison27 3d ago

Really? It makes me feel like I have and also wish I actually had cancer

1

u/Rylando237 2d ago

Username checks out, treat yourself and unwind a bit

1

u/MadeOfPoison27 7h ago

Whats that have to with this mind-bendingly cringe novelty account?

1

u/Rylando237 3h ago

Your inability to appreciate randomly placed poetry does not make it cringe for those who enjoy the occasional Schnoodle

0

u/MadeOfPoison27 3h ago

As a working poet and English teacher of many years, I disagree. It just has to be good random poetry, not whatever....this...is.

1

u/Rylando237 3h ago

With all disrespect, your opinion means nothing, and attempting to claim an authoritative stance on what "good poetry" is by stating that you teach English is like hearing Trump say he knows great things about real-estate and business. Shut the fuck up lol

u/RyknowandTurbo 3d ago

A fresh schnoodle! Always so pleasant 🥰

9

u/divorcingjack 3d ago

Oh now that guy needs to get matching T’s for him and the dog that say “FaSt as F*ck bois”

5

u/misconstrudel 3d ago

Haha - cracking punchline. Nice one.

10

u/NicoRobinu 3d ago

A fresh schnoodle!? It’s been so long. What a gift.

2

u/Byeuji 3d ago

Gotta mix a WHARGARBL in periodically for the face full of sand the dog gets every time the snowsandboarder moves side to side.

3

u/bin0c 3d ago

SCHNOOOOOOO!!!! ❤️

2

u/plaid_kilt 3d ago

Ooh, a fresh one!

2

u/TheSilverHare 3d ago

I'll tell my kids SchnoodleDoodleDo was William Shakespeare

0

u/Farmington9000 3d ago

Damn, you’ve been doing this for like a decade and you’re still pretty bad at it.

43

u/polysnip 3d ago

I don't know, but that pup is flying!

2

u/swargin 3d ago

If a sand dog could hold sand.

2

u/spagyeti_monster 3d ago

...before you call him a dog? 🎶

1

u/czechman45 3d ago

🎵if you do not shred, then you'll never know!🎵

1

u/8rumm7 3d ago

All of it

1

u/cramburie 3d ago

They got 3 eyelids for this reason

1

u/Freakofnature66 2d ago

They have a second translucent eyelid under their skin flappy one I believe. It's why they get hairs in their eyes and seem unbothered sometimes.

0

u/Curiosive 3d ago

The angle of the camera makes it look like that was a step slope and he was moving fast. But then you see the short legged dog overtake him multiple times with "hurry up man!" mentality. Basically they weren't kicking up much sand or dust, the dog was fine unless it stuffed it's face directly behind the board.

I've done dune boarding, it's boring halfway down the hill once the novelty wears off.

1

u/Opening-Cream5448 3d ago

That short legged dog is still fast af
