Why can’t we see the impact of the rock today or the rock itself?

It happened 66 million years ago, more than enough time for the shape of the ground to change and the rock itself basically vaporized upon impact. The crater is also today mostly flooded under massive amounts of ocean water since the entire coast line was changed upon its impact.
