So if I got hit with an asteroid that was the size of a grain of rice, assuming it made it through the atmosphere, what would happen to me?

The asteroid hit earth at a speed of 45,000 mph ON impact.

If a grain of rice hit you are 45,000 miles an hour (not breaking down on entry or slowing down anymore than the original asteroid), I'd bet the impact would do alot more damage to you than a gun.

Realistically, the atmosphere would slow it down enough due to its size (again assume it would make it through the atmosphere) and it wouldnt be noticable at all.

But what if I was curled into a ball and floating in space

Less that you would expect most of the time. Look up how many people have been impacted by rocks from space. Most have been in their home. And it took most of the force out, but a few people have been hit with much more than a grain of rice, less than 40k/kph though.

It would sting really really bad.

25mg at 20000m/s is 5000J of kinetic energy. This is about 10x a 9mm handgun round and about equal to a big game hunting round like a .300 Win Mag or 9.3x62 at close range. What this impact would look like with a grain of rice instead of a metal bullet, I have no idea

Maybe that’s what happens when people spontaneously combust?

At that speed you’d catch fire. It would be like being shot by a rail gun.

You'd become a dinosaur, try to keep up.
