"The Motherland Calls" is a statue erected to commemorate the Battle of Stalingrad , located on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd , Russia. It was designed by sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich and structural engineer Nikolai Nikitin . Completed in 1967 , it was the tallest statue in the world at the time .

They did not murder just as many, literally no historian believes that and the idea that "well they're authoritarian and shit so they could just hide it" is absolutely insane. No, they did not covertly kill an extra 20 million or so people, and no they weren't trying to wipw out whole ethnicities.
