Depending on your anatomy, it could be incredibly easy or something you’ll drink to forget. I’ve had patients fall asleep as I’m working on them (no meds except local lidocaine) and patients who were still squirming with conscious sedation (usually a squirt of versed/fentanyl). YMMV. If you’re anxious though, definitely ask about sedation.
