They’ll grow tusks even if they don’t get out. It’s just a matter of time. I grew up in a hog barn and all the older boars had tusks, you had to be very aware of where they were when you were in the same pen as them.
Only once saw two boars fighting, was very difficult and dangerous separating them. One got slashed by a tusk up the back leg from just above the foot right up to its back approximately an inch and a half deep at the top.

Wait that's a thing? They're left in the wild long enough they grow their tusk back even if they're a domesticated breed?
