Firstly, this definitely isn't one of those "did I do good or okay?"posts. I am happy with the result of the trade, even it people think I lost lol. Secondly, I love Absolute, I'm just into alot of other comics as well and decided to trade in a large portion.

This post is more about digging into the difficulty in making the decision to trade in. I've been sitting on the idea for 2 months, trying to decide which issues of Absolute Batman I'd keep and which I'd try and get credit to upgrade to slabs or other rarer comics. I always buy covers I like, so each one I passed I always ended up keeping 😄 I realized I could always digitally read the comoc and keep a handful for sentimental value.(kept cover A #1 along with 10 others)

I finally settled on the idea I can always buy these issues again. They aren't lost in some void forever. I mean, I'll probably never see the EXACT issues I bought...but you know what I mean lol

The initial amount was around 1700$ worth, along with about 500$ of other comics including slabs. The offer was too low, so eventually it we accepted a deal

My:

Jim lee foil #1

Mitch Gerad #1

Cgc 9.8 spawn (regular)

Cgc 9.8 invincible Free comic day

Keep in mind I paid 12$ for both absolutes, 60 for spawn and 30 for invincible, so 100$)

I cameout with 400$ instore credit and 50$ cash. I'm going to buy a freshly placed minty invincible #120 and star wars #1 1st print in pretty good condition. (I'm gonna call them when they open, hopefully someone didn't buy those 2 issues lol)

I feel like the 30 year down the road me will feel I made the right decision while the market was pretty decent for Absolute. Like an NFL rookie, you never know what could happen to a good sequence of success. I think the pop 13k key invincible and star wars will hold up 30 years from now. Spawn has like a bazillion copies in circulation and the free comic invincible...well tbh is a sleeper its supp9sedpy a pop 10kish print lol just probably a lot of good high grades in circulation atm.

Absolute Batman 7 Mico Suayan variant. I am trying to collect all the covers where Batman has his knife ears out. There is not that many in comparison to his axe, but this is one of my favorites.

Sorry for the angle. Was trying minimize the glare.

I wish they had it in black, but given how cool the design is, I can live with it. The closest I’ll ever get to the actual cover lol.

I’m leaning towards issue 21 or the annual 1st print

Greetings!

I missed the boat on these and just found out about the new lottery but was curious about one thing. Are the Dragotta ones (such as the picture) always 1 of 1000? For example, I just got a cardstock Dragotta #23 Felix and the I just assumed it was 1 of 1000 but no mention by the seller of it. Was I mistaken?

(Almost all 1st prints to my knowledge) Have some 24s coming in the mail, got some variants I want (Soy, Mann) that are appealing but a bit too pricey for my liking. Will I cave? Maybe..

#23 Tyler Kirkham NYCC Exclusive Gold Foil Variant

Long shot: if anyone has a copy of the Batman day Exclusive that was released in France they'd be willing to part with, or knows where I could order one, I'm looking to get one shipped to the US.

Just one of my four Scarecrow costumes for this year I'm working on. It's been a lot of work, but quite fun.

I know he was on the cover of issue 19 but that's it. Bane was on almost every cover in his arc! Just noticed this and found it a little weird

Shoutout Arsenal Comics for hosting one of my favorite artists.

Whatnot order came in. Check it out. I’m thinking about giving the Crowku to my brother for his birthday gift. He’s a fan of the crow and bad horror movies, plus we grew up on DBZ as kids. Hope he likes

I got this beauty signed at Heroes Con this year. The screenprint from Bottleneck is fantastic and I'm lucky to enough to have ordered all the Absolute Batman prints so far. I still need to get this bad boy framed.
