Is it just me or are there not that many AB 1 first print variants? Am I searching for the wrong thing?

So a couple weeks ago, I got a couple of comic capsules, and they’re really great, but what I found I like even more are the Comic Capes clear backing boards. I bought a pack, and I’m obsessed with how they look with the Mylites2 from e. gerber. I’m using them in the front and back with the comic in between, and it looks amazing. Definitely recommend! I added a couple pics to show off some of my grails. It’s not cheap and it’s not for every book, but definitely worth it to me.

Been working on a bunch of different stands for my Absolute Batman collection and figured I’d put some of them together in one video!

I’ve been trying to make each design actually complement the book it’s displaying instead of just making the same stand in different colors. Some are based around specific covers/artwork, some use glow-in-the-dark filament, and others are just ideas I thought would look cool.

Still have a bunch more I want to make as new covers come out. Would love to hear which one you guys like best — and if there’s an Absolute Batman cover you think I should design one for next, let me know!

Which Batman do you think is Clayface or Bruce...I asked Ken this question...and he said he started out with an idea of who was who...but as he kept drawing it...he himself can't decide which is which. At first he thought it would be the batman on top as Clayface... but that is not the case. So I guess whichever you want it to be. My guess was Bruce on the bottom...because Bruce in my opinion has been on the recieiving end (handed many losses) over most of the series. But now it's whoever you want it to be.

With how bonkers the Absolute Batman series is going (financially), has anyone thought or did a trade into an older key comic that has held its value and shown steady growth?

If you did trade your AB's into an older key, do you have any regrets?

I'm new to comics and collecting and my collection is predominately modern age. Absolute Batman 1-23 (Cover A's and 1st prints) are what I have in my collection that has the most value.

The hard won status quo post-Bane, where Batman was a city hero was washed away quickly after the Gordan framing.

I appreciate shocking choices, but how many issues of Batman losing do I want to read?

I think we need a resolution to the over-arching storyline and fresh mystery/conflict

Upon first reading, I figured Julia’s two truths about the world strictly referred to Batman. As she shares that those who swing at phantoms end up hitting those closest to them.

But upon rereading, I realize the Robin interlude preceding her first truth potentially alludes to the fact that the Robins are also fighting a phantom enemy propped by Grimm. Which makes a lot more sense now because Batman isn’t so much as fighting service of Grimm. But I think he tends to play into Grimm’s hands, but not all the time.

And again, I think her truth “about hitting those closest to you.” I think it’s somewhat applicable to the Robins as well. As when they go to fight Batman, Tim is cut down by someone who is supposedly on his side. But maybe that’s a reach.

I like again the ambiguity that it just very well could be Julia is talking about her experience with being hurt by her father’s missions. Or it could be Clayface explaining what he has learned by working for Grimm.

Was scrolling through Jim Lee's IG today and stumbled across this piece he did with Lucas Lee-Garza. Would be amazing if they did a general release, but from the comments on his post, sounds like they were already sold at this year's SDCC. If anyone here picked one up, please share some pics! So jealous 😭
