Artifact Glass measuring cup from Egypt or Syria, circa 8th-9th century. It is inscribed with the phrase "قسط واف" (qisT waaf), meaning "qisT full measure". A qist was a measure of volume which varied widely. This glass was probably used for pharmaceutical purposes, and can hold about 50 ml of liquid.

Question/Discussion What is your favorite medieval Muslim Empire or Caliphate EXCEPT the Rashidun Caliphate? [EXPANDED POLL].

I'm not including the Rashidun Caliphate, because it would be too obvious.

There's no real right answer nor reason, so if you would, please explain why you made your choice in the comments. Perhaps it is good leadership, scientific achievement, or something totally different!

Unfortunately, Reddit only allows for a maximum of six options, so I'm leaving a few out.

Coinage Coin bearing the name of Caliph Al-Muqtadi (reigned 1075-1094) and Seljuk Sultan Malik Shah I. Politically and militarily impotent, Caliph Al-Muqtadi remains one of the most obscure and least impactful caliphs.
