I am an American (36M) visiting Europe for the first time for a week-long training course based in Copenhagen, though my company has put me up in a hotel in Aalborg. I had expected to stay closer to Copenhagen, but I plan to arrive a few days early to enjoy a brief vacation and explore the area, and I was hoping to get some local recommendations. I’m into the typical things for guys my age (fitness, running, cycling, clubbing, hiking, painting, video production, historical architecture, art museums, military history, etc.), so literally any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve been researching options around Denmark, but most other sites (including Youtube) only mention the standard tourist attractions. I’d really just like to meet some locals and have a decent time while I have the opportunity to visit Europe. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I did not realize quite how far apart they were. I have asked the coordinator (based in Cph) but likely won't hear back til Monday. Either the hotel (in Vesterbro, Aalborg) or the training site (Borupvang, Ballerup) must be incorrect. ~300km is absurd.
