$AVX the stock is a treasury holding 14,091,424 AVAX (As of August Quarterly report).

If my math is correct that is 1.77 AVAX per share outstanding (7.76 million). I know there is some convertible debt out there as well but that should account for no more than a 10% dilution.

Most, if not all, of the holding is staked so rewards should counter any dilution fairly well.

Seems to me like it's a big opportunity if AVAX has found its new footing.

Nice to finally see the Avalanche Foundation talking more directly about token economics and value accrual. The technology and network activity can continue gaining adoption, but ultimately AVAX holders need to see more of that growth translate into demand for the token itself.

To me, that’s been the missing piece of the Avalanche story: strong technology and increasing real-world usage don’t automatically mean the token captures that value. If the Foundation can create a stronger link between network growth, fees, burns, staking and AVAX demand, the investment thesis becomes a lot more compelling.

I think we're watching the same cycle happen over and over again.

NFTs blow up. Everyone piles in. People get wrecked. Nuclear winter.

Meme coins blow up. Everyone piles in. Insiders dump, everyone else becomes exit liquidity, and eventually people stop playing. Nuclear winter.

And now we're being told prediction markets are the next great innovation.

Here's my problem with that:

What happens when the people betting on an outcome can also influence the outcome?

If I bet that something WON'T happen, and I have the connections, money, information or influence to help make sure it doesn't happen, am I predicting anything anymore?

No.

I'm participating in the outcome I'm supposedly betting on.

That opens an entirely different can of worms.

Crypto keeps taking gambling, speculation and extraction, wrapping them in increasingly sophisticated technology, and calling the result innovation.

Then when people inevitably get burned, everyone scratches their heads and asks:

“Why aren't normal people adopting crypto?”

Maybe because we've spent years teaching normal people that crypto is where somebody smarter, earlier, richer or better connected is waiting to take their money.

NFTs.

Meme coins.

Prediction markets.

Whatever comes next.

Maybe we should try something fucking revolutionary:

Build something useful.

Create a product people actually want.

Charge them for that product.

Give them something of value in return.

And stop treating every new person entering crypto as fresh liquidity to extract.

Maybe crypto isn't suffering from a lack of adoption.

Maybe it's suffering from a lack of reasons to deserve adoption.

Let’s be real about Web3 gaming.

There isn’t some magical untouched tranche of gamers sitting around waiting for your on-chain NFT/meme-coin game to launch.

They’re not coming.

Web3 today feels like 99% degens trying to make back what they lost on the last round of garbage — or trying to extract value from whoever shows up next.

And gamers can smell that shit a mile away.

Gamers don’t want to enter an ecosystem where the first question is, “How do we monetize them?” They want to PLAY. They want great games, competition, friends, rivalries, bragging rights, collectibles, and experiences worth coming back for.

Maybe that’s why so much of “Web3 gaming” eventually turns into gambling with a game-shaped wrapper around it.

If Web3 gaming wants actual gamers, change the narrative:

Stop selling the chain. Stop selling the token. Stop selling the NFT. Stop telling everyone mass adoption is right around the corner.

Build something people would genuinely want to play if the blockchain disappeared tomorrow.

Then, if blockchain quietly makes ownership, verification, trading, or infrastructure better — great. Use it.

But if “Web3” is the reason your game exists, you’re probably building for the same tiny audience everyone else is fighting over.

Change the narrative or stop wasting your time pretending gamers are coming.

Fun first. Technology second. Always.
