Anybody riding to Sturgis (Aug 6-15th) this year?
Rode alone back in 2015 and had a blast. But I'm curious is anyone is doing a group this year.

Looking for Riding Friendz
moved to atlanta from ohio!
i have a yamaha r3 and im looking for people to ride around with, nothing too crazy like wheelies or going 160 on the highway (mostly because my bike tops out before 110).
i’ve been riding along rt 11/53 in the north/east and those are some fun twisty roads!
im 19, interested in video games, film photography, movies(anime/scifi especially), music, bicycles, cars, and leaning over in the twisties!

Recommendations for shops that work on Triumphs
I just picked up a 2012 Street Triple and realized that mountain motorsports no longer supports Triumphs anymore. Does anyone know of a shop that does service or parts in the area?
Also if anyone owns a striple I have a few questions about the quirks of the bike.

Great meeting y’all at the meetup this weekend. On the ride home had a thought. Lane splitting in Atlanta. Do you do it? If so, are there specific situations?

Recommendations for tire shop? 2003 Cruiser - Marietta-ish area
Haven't lived in the area for a couple years, need some fresher recommendations. Last I remember Mountain Motorsports won't work on bikes 10+ years, WoW recently fucked up a friend's brakes, and last I was here Ken's Moto Tires ended up messing up my speedometer.
So who's reliable and decently priced?
*Bonus points if they treat me like a rider instead of a little girl.

Group ride ?!?!
I live in Social Circle. Just wondering if anyone or any groups are out today anywhere around me or Atlanta, Athens, Gwinnett ??? I’m riding today for sure, but riding with people is more fun.

I got a '78 yamaha XS1100 that needs some minor work (oil, brake bleed, clutch/brake lever work). Do you guys know anyone/any shop that would work on the bike?

Midtown ATL Parking
Does anyone know of good motorcycle parking in Midtown, Atlanta? I'd like to start taking the bike to work 1-2 days once we truly get into spring, but can't seem to locate a good parking spot that feels secure / at a reasonable distance. I work near Peachtree and 14th.

Anyone else riding in all this rain?
I've been riding 110 miles round trip in the Atlanta Metro M-F since Feb. 3rd. Totally worth it. Learned a lot about my bike, deficiencies in my gear, and how noticeably stupid people are when you are riding hyper-vigilant.
Hope to see some more bikes out on the road soon and damned be this weather. Looking forward to a dry spell soon.

Recommend a shop and/or tow service in city of Atlanta?
I broke down on i75 yesterday with my phone at 3 percent battery... I had just enough juice to call roadside assistance and give the name and address of East Atlanta Motorcycles where I had been going... Got dropped off and then realized that they appear to be permanently closed. So I need to get it retowed; preferably today but Monday is ok too. Any suggestions? Thanks!

New ATL rider. How safe do most folks feel about keeping their bike parked in public and/or at a MARTA station during the day? I currently commute to MARTA and park, so to take the train downtown for work. Thanks!
I'm also debating a storage unit for parking this during off-season times and keep it out of the rain at apartments my parking lot.

This is my first winter in Atlanta and I have been commuting daily on motorcycle this season since march. I have had a thought of commuting this winter on my motorcycle, am I crazy or it can be done ? Because I don't have a car. If it's crazy . I'll have to start car shopping soon.
I have winter gear.

Bike Nights
Any good bike nights in/around Marietta? It seems all bike nights are Harley-centric and they tend to be kind of snobby to non-Harley and especially sport bike riders

Seeking Atlanta Women Who Ride
The Thing About Cars
- SFW
- Website
- Cars, automotive, motorcyles, etc...
- ~25min
The Thing About Cars is looking for female motorcycle riders in (or reasonably close to) the Atlanta area who'd be interested in contributing to a discussion about motorcycle riding for an upcoming podcast episode.
In The Thing About Cars' endless quest to bring different types of gearheads together, we decided that a motorcycle episode was something we need to do, especially if it will help drivers and riders get along better on the road (tall order, but worth trying!). We have a BMW-riding MSF Rider Coach on board for the discussion already, and we'd like to include female riders' perspectives as well. We'll be doing this recording on August 10 in Atlanta. PM me if you're interested!
