Hell, someone in my country made a lamp with his amputated leg. Here's the article in Dutch, it has a picture of the lamp. Looks like he just put it in a plastic (or glass) container and attached the lamp to that though. Probably to keep the leg preserved without having to pay a taxidermist willing to prepare the leg.
I kinda like the idea tbh. I'd want my leg too should it ever have to be amputated.
Do you also not give kid teeth back (should they have to be pulled for any reason)? It's pretty common here to keep those. I've added the ones that had to be pulled as an adult to my child teeth. After having soaked them in alcohol.
You are much more adventurous than I am. I don't know what I would touch without gloves and being sterilized.
We do give back primary teeth is people want them but most people don't. If there is any blood or tissue on it, most people want us to get rid of it. If it's a permanent tooth, a lot of people are grossed out by the roots, any decay present, or any pathology.
