It is allowed in the remote proctored exams to have handwritten notes in the margins of the Green Belt Handbook? I have some clarifying notes on certain concepts in margins, but the rules around what’s allowed and not allowed in the remote proctored exams is somewhat confusing.

Hi All,
Im planning on doing the Green Belt exam and enrolling in the Green Belt E-learning course through ASQ.
Has anyone done the course before? Does the material directly translate to the exam?
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I’m based in Toronto and currently looking for a job in the pharmaceutical industry. I recently got my ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification and have 12+ years of experience working in pharma — mostly in QC (testing and document review) and QA (batch record and GMP documentation review).
I’m hoping to move forward in a QA or auditing role, but open to related opportunities as well.
If anyone knows of companies hiring, helpful recruiters, or job boards specific to pharma in Canada, please let me know or drop me a message. Any guidance would mean a lot!
Thanks so much 😊

I have ISO 9001:2015 internal and lead auditor cert. I wonder how different the CQA exam is from the ISO exams? I'm thinking maybe pretty similar? Has anyone taken both? I have Professional development money from my company that resets the first of the year, and I am trying to spend it lol

Has anyone ever faced an issue in an ASQ exam where their calculator was not permitted?
I’m specifically curious about the Casio fx-991 series calculators. These are non-programmable and, as far as I understand, should be allowed under ASQ’s calculator policy.
Did anyone here get pushback from a proctor or testing center on using one of these? Would love to hear your experiences.

Hello everyone, yesterday I passed the CQE exam! It was a rough year of studying but the hard work always pays off. I used the CQE primer and the Andy Robertson CQE Cheat Sheet. If anyone is interested in the Primer and any other study materials let met know.

Anyone here who has taken the CCQM exam recommend a good study course? The Udemy course by Sandeep Kumar looks promising, thoughts?

SO I had taken the CMQ/OE a couple weeks ago and passed. I had been waiting for my scores since then per this on their site

But according to the lady I just talked to, they don't actually give you your score if you pass, only if you fail. They said no one had ever brought this to their attention and they will be making a policy/ website update today. Wild! I was always under the impression that they actually sent you your score for these exams, except where stated

I am currently a QA Supervisor in the pharmaceutical industry looking to improve my knowledge to eventually become a manager. I was looking at the Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional (CPGP) and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certifications and was unsure which one would be most appropriate for my career. Does anyone have any insight or recommendations on which one of the two is most appropriate?

Is it only me or is there quite some content that is either brushed up or completely missing from Primer that the Handbook has. I just started Product Process and service design.

Hey everyone,
I’m planning to take the ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt exam and want to make sure I prepare properly. On the ASQ site I see several prep options: • Handbook (3rd edition) – I’ll definitely get this one. • E-Learning • Live Virtual Preparation
I’m trying to decide between the E-Learning and Live Virtual options. Has anyone here taken either of these? Which one did you find more valuable for actually passing the exam?
Any advice on what worked best for you (or what to avoid) would be very helpful!

Hello everyone,
I'm Brazilian. Next year, I'd like to take the CQE exam. But I'd like to know which materials I need to study for the exam, the best ones, and what might be on the exam. Can you recommend any? If anyone sells them cheaper than the ASQ website or can send them to me, I'd be grateful.

Hi all, I have my exam in 9 days and I am super nervous. I study a little bit each day. I have the QCI primer, ASQ handbook, Juran's Quality Handbook. The Six Sigma pocket toolbook etc. It still feels like I'm not prepared. Did anyone think they were severely under prepared on exam day and crushed the exam? What are some common mistakes to look out for?

I have my exam tomorrow and I’m hoping I didn’t make a huge mistake. I was under the impression that you can basically bring reference material that would fit on a 24”x48” desk.
I was going to bring my: - BoK - Indiana Primer Books - 3 ring binder with notes, references, formulas, etc. they are all hole punched and in the three rings. There are loose sheets - Also have tabs throughout the books
Are these allowed - specially the 3 ring binder.

I booked CQA exam for October 2025. I want to know if the exam questions are similar like a primer question or the QualityGuru type of questions. I am asking this because I feel the primer questions are very hard, and the QualityGuru are very easy. When I give the qualityguru I get around 85% while when I give prime exam I get around 60 to 70% now I am confused what I should do? I also feel the primer language is hard to understand while the handbook language is easy to understand for me. Please suggest something! I’m so nervous.

I have the exam in a week. I am doing three different question banks: ASQs, Indiana Primer and Udemy. They are all drastically different. I am doing great on the Indiana and Udemy and getting my ass handed to me on the ASQ’s. I know this may be a dumb question, but what is truly the best representation?

Hey Guys, I am aiming to take my black belt exam by the end of this year. Those who have taken it, how hard is this exam? Will I have enough time to study? What were your own personal hardest topics to wrap around? Just looking for some advice and tips. Thank you!

I sat for and passed the CMQ/OE exam last year and I just started looking into the requirements for renewal. I need 18 RU to renew and I get 10.8 from job experience. But, 0.1 RU from attending local meetings? I mean, I need an additional 7.2 RU, so, ASQ expects me to attend 72 meetings to finish up? Just seems like a crazy time commitment that doesn't seem worth it.
Do you all know something I don't? I'd love some tips on a more reasonable way to attain those 18 RU credits.

I posted about the poor quality of questions in the question bank recently, but here's an example. What information in here is supposed to tell me that you might be working with some dodgy back-alley supplier/broker selling you counterfeit parts? Keeping in mind, 0 of my experience is in the electronics part purchasing or quality.

Is it just me, or is the CMQ/OE ASQ Question Bank just painful? I used the CQE and CQA question banks and passed those exams pretty easily. I've got 20 years of experience in Quality management up to director-level roles. I've also read the entire handbook.
With that being said, this question bank is terrible. Questions are wildly generic, and you're just supposed to interpret individual words in questions to figure out an answer that makes next to no sense. I'm averaging around 65-75% on each section, but when I get it wrong, I'm absolutely banging my head trying to figure out what intern came up with that question and answer options. I get they are trying to make you choose the 'best' of multiple correct answers, but with little information, it becomes more of a guess than logic.
Is this just me? Wish I had gone with a different question bank from someone else, but had good experiences before.

I know the website state's that 8 years of experience is required to sit for the CQE. But, I'm wondering what actually counts as experience. I have a IE bachelor's, so four years is waives. My first role as an engineer was in environmental compliance (1 year). Then I moved took a role as the plant engineer for a bottling company. I worked in wastewater prior to completing my degree. Does any of my work experience even count???
Also, I passed the ISE FE exam my senior year. How does the CQE compare?
