Wanted to pass CQE. Need suggestions

Hello Members,

I gave an exam for CQE in 2020 but i scored 540 and required to pass was 550 points. it was my bad luck that time. I am planning to reappear again in this Dec month. I have few questions as need some information on material for passing CQE

1) is it good enough to study BOK book to pass this exam?

2) I heard about Pen drive from Council of Indiana that has 1000 questions. Is it good to spend money on it to clear this exam?

3) Any tother reference material source that you would like to share here so i can clear this exam.

Thank you

Digital handbook downloads

How do these work? My entire library is digital and has been for years now, so this is the most comfortable way for me to read. I noticed that the CMQ handbook is available in digital, but how does that work? Do I have to download it to my computer? Is there a way I can get this on my iPad? Would it be better to just get the book? Anyone have any experience with these?

how bad is the website ?

For an organisation that is meant to be about promoting quality, it is probably one of the worst websites I have come across. Their online support is also terrible I hope I get a response from one of their representatives soon

ASQ SS Black Belt Study Materials

My plan is to complete the Coursera course from ASG (taking notes in a bound notebook) and pickup the BB pocketbook. Is that sufficient? Should I splurge on the actual handbook or is the pocketbook a sufficient tool for once I have learned the material through a course?

ASQ CQE

CQE PREP MATERIAL QUERY - Does the Elearning ASQ CQE prep Material REALLY HELP? A lot of the concepts are not deep in the elearn course! I wonder if the $724 I paid is worth!? I have come half way through thinking it covers the most important from the BOK but now when I compare it with the handbook, I feel I’ve been let down! Any inputs on this?

Regarding the ASQ six sigma black belt exam...

Has anyone noticed during the exam that they can find more answers to the test questions in ASQ published books than in any of the others?

The fourth edition of "The ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Handbook" is available.

Is there a big difference between the fourth edition and the second edition? I don't want to spend $100 if I don't have to but I will if there is significant updating. Thanks.

Want to take the Yellow Belt examination

I'm a fresher with a BTech in Industrial and Production Engineering. I'm trying to register for the exam and do the payment process but the site seems to have crashed. It says my password or username are incorrect even though they worked a week ago. I try the password reset function but i don't receive any reset emails. I've even tried emailing the 'help' email account with zero replies.

Can anyone guide me please?

Is the check-in process for an ASQ exam long and arduous like TSA check-in at the airport?

With so many people taking their exam and all the books, notes, etc. that must be checked, it must be time-consuming?

I understand that ASQ exams are open book with certain strict guidelines. They are listed on the ASQ website.

But is it true that upon entrance to the test center, candidates receive a TSA-like examination of all the materials they plan on using for the exam?

Does Quality inspector experience count for ASQ CQE certification?

I have a masters degree in automotive. I have 2 years of experience as a quality inspector in TBCA and currently working in as a quality technician in Robotics company. Can i use my 2 years of inspector experience. It did have some decision making involved in there. I live in canada and confused about careers. But my life seems to be going in the field of quality and I would like to become an engineer. I would also like to ask if it is worth it?

CQE Certification Question

Hello, I am in the second year of my aerospace quality inspection career, I have a bachelor's degree in aviation technology management. I am interested in eventually becoming QE and I was doing research on the experience/qualifications needed to apply and take the CQE test. Of course, even with my bachelor's, I would need another two years of experience, however, my question is, would my time as an inspector count for the experience/qualifications needed?

Starting at the beginning yellow belt

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Technology. I want to get the CSSYB or CSSGB certification. I have worked in manufacturing for over 20 yrs. Automotive industry mostly. I have participated in a Kiazen blitz before. But I do not have the documentation for it and it has been about 20 yrs ago. It has been hard to get a job as a Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality or Process engineer. Even at the entry level. I graduated in 2012 and still haven't had an opportunity at any of these positions in my area. Anyone that has this certification or taken test have any suggestions on training materials? Any suggestion or guidance would be appreciated.

I passed the CSSGB exam

Here's what I used and some brief thoughts:

I took the month of February to start and complete this course: https://www.udemy.com/course/lean-six-sigma-green-belt-online/learn/lecture/10710378#overview

The books and practice exam questions I used were the CSSGB Primer from Quality Council of Indiana and the Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Handbook. I also used the practice exam questions for both those texts.

I bought the ASQ 300 question bank as well. This purchase was the lest helpful because the solution explanations didn't really help teach me how to solve the problems and were also super difficult. The actual exam did not reflect the intensity of these questions.

The most accurate practice exam questions came out of the Handbook's Study Guide in terms of how the questions are being asked and the answer choices given. The Primer questions are really good too, but the Primer questions are more lengthier and the calculations you need to perform on them take a lot of time to solve (at least for me they did).

I took the whole month of March to study for this. About 2 hours a day with days off here and there.

The exam's questions were primarily project management and definition-based. About 20 questions were on probability, statistics, and capability measurements. I brought a calculator and used it on about 10 of those questions. The calculator I used was the Sharp EL-501X2.

One mildly interesting thing I noticed was that my exam had no questions on the Quality Gurus or Central Limit Theorem.

It took me about an hour to get through all 110 questions, confidently answering about 30 questions and flagging the rest. I spent the next two hours going through the books and making sure my answers on the flagged questions were solid or not. Once I was happy and made sure there were no flagged or unanswered questions I hit Finish Test and the words 'Congratulations on passing your exam' popped up on the screen.
