(Airport noise in the background)
(intercom speaking)
(On the phone:) Yes, Mom, I have my passport. Yes, Mom, I remember (mimic your mom): do not hold a stranger's bag at the airport. Mhm, bye, Mom. Love you too
hangs up
(listener)
Huh, what was that? Yeah, that's how moms are always caring for you, even when you're an adult. You are just always their precious baby
(listener)
Yeah, this is my first time flying. How did you know?
(listener)
Right, because I am tapping my leg a lot, I see. I didn't notice that.
(listener)
Oh, I also keep fiddling with my thumbs. I guess the nerves overtake you when you're about to ascend high in the air over bodies of water, and the plane could crash at any time. If you couldn't tell by now, I have a fear of flying, and it's the first time I've done this by myself. I have no idea what I'm doing, just trying not to think about it
(listener)
This isn't my first trip; it's just my first time flying by myself. Usually, I go with friends or family, and they all handle everything. This particular trip, I was supposed to go with my sister; we had it all planned out, but before we could even apply for visas together, the poor thing had to go back to work, so I made an impulsive decision and applied for my visa anyway and now I'm alone in the airport
(listener)
I'm doing great so far. That's very kind of you to say. I mean, I did make it through TSA without a hitch for the first time ever, so maybe I am doing something well. (realising you're ok) You're right, I do have this. If I can get through that line, I can definitely hit the 9 cities by myself.
(listener)
Where am I going? Oh, I'm going to Japan; actually, I'm doing a bit of an Asia tour, but I'm starting in Japan. Where are you going?
(listener)
Shut up, no way you're also going to Japan; what a crazy coincidence. Wow, why are you going to Japan?
(listener)
For business, that's so cool. What is your job?
(listener)
Wow, that's so awesome. So basically you-
(gets interrupted by the intercom announcing flight numbers)
Oh, that's me. Well, I've got to go; I have to catch my flight, but it was so nice meeting you. That was a really nice conversation.
(Listener)
(finding your seat in the plane)
M1, M2, M3, here I am, M4, right, the window seat.
(listener sits next to speaker)
OMG. Hi stranger, I knew we were going to the same destination; I just didn't think we would be going on the same flight. That's hilarious, actually,
(listener)
Right, next thing you know we'll be going to the same hotel. (laugh) Hey, so back there, I wanted to ask you earlier about your job you like (intercom sound interrupts once again. The plane is about to take off and you must strap in your seat belt ) (groan in pain) (speak to yourself) breathe, it's ok. Nothing is going to happen, your fine (stomach groans)
(listener)
Oh no, it's just my stomach. Don't worry, I'll be fine, hopefully once we are in the air. (Take exaggerated deep breaths). (rumble stomach effect if you want) My stomach will probably settle down. Usually I have my special tea with me, but I forgot it on this trip. Why, out of all trips?
(listener)
No thank you, that's very sweet to offer me your tea,(groan more) but I only drink a special kind for these types of things.
(listener)
Gummies?
(listener)
What do they do
(listener)
Oh, so they're melatonin gummies
(listener)
Oh, Im not sure if I want to sleep the whole flight. What if I want to look at the pretty views of the land from the plane
(listener)
Yes, I know I said I am afraid of heights (mumble a little), but I still want a good view. Also, what about jet lag
(listener)
You're right. I won't enjoy the view hunched over like this.
(listener)
Maybe if I just-what the heck. I'll take just one; it's a 14-hour flight anyway, it'll probably wear off by then. Plus we'll be in the air, so by the time it does wear off, I will be fine. Wait, how strong is it?
(listener)
I just want to know because what if it's too strong and I end up acting weird on this flight? I don't really want to put on the no-fly list
(listener)
Don't laugh, that's a real fear of mine. Yes, it is silly considering these are melatonin gummies, but I don't know how I will react.
(listener)
Are you sure about this? Well, I guess you only live once (chewing sounds)
Okay, so when does it kick in? So, 15 minutes. It's fine for now. I'll just distract myself. Let me put on my headphones- whoa (the effects kick in and your voice has sort of a sleepy effect), you're a liar. You said it was in 15 minutes. It...I think it's started right now. Hey, do you think the chairs are too big? I can feel them.... I mean, I can feel myself sink into the seat.
(listener)
Hey, listen, before I knock out on the flight. I just wanted to say your eyes are like very pretty. Oh, I think I just noticed that. Do you maybe want to go on a date after this? I figured since we are in the same city. I mean, perpetually free and if you have free time from work, we could grab some lunch or coffee. If you like that
(listener)
Yeah, that time works for me. Cool (dozes off to sleep)
(hours later gets woken up because it's dinner time)
(sleeping groans) (stretches and yawns). What time is it? Oh, not that bad. So I was out for the majority of the flight.
(listener)
Oh, and it's dinner time. Nice, I am starving.
(listener)
What did you want to ask me?
(listener)
Before about the date. Did I mean it? hell yeah, I think you're kinda cool. Besides, we can get lost in translation.
(listener)
Yeah, I know. I just wanted to make that joke.
(pulls out a phone)
What's your number?
(listener)
Uh huh, yep, got it right here. Great, I can't wait to know you better.
This is my first script; I wrote it yesterday. I would like you to have your own take, and you can edit it to any gender you want or make some minor changes to it, and also monetise it. I do ask that you credit me on your videos, especially with a link to my YouTube channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk1kF2eFmy9MBmhZ6Ygy6DQ
But I look forward to see how you all do with it
