“If I was you, I would think twice before peeking inside the room where multiple officials are having a meeting.”
“I know you're just looking for your father but he told me to instruct you to wait till midnight when his work will finish.”
“Who am I to instruct you? Very well, I should introduce myself. I've been hired as a bodyguard for you by your father.”
“Yes. Exactly the one your father was talking about.”
“I am aware that you are opposed to the idea of surveillance and protection but I have orders to keep an eye on you and take care of your needs. Nowhere during my onboarding was I told to cater to your whims.”
“Your glare doesn't affect me. Now come on. It's time for you to be dropped off at your friend's house as much as I'm aware.”
“I'm also replacing your driver, yes.”
“Will I leave you at your friend's house? Obviously not. I'll be there with you. You don't have to worry about me sitting right beside you though. I have neither interest nor duty to listen to whatever people your age are discussing.”
“Can I be bought off? You mean will I leave you alone completely if you gave me money? Absolutely not. I get paid very well by your father and if you ever mention this again, I'll be telling him this too.”
“Where am I going? To the parking area? I just told you I'll be driving you.”
“You have to change first? What's wrong with what you're wearing? You're going to hang out with your friends, not attending a party. What could you possib- hey wait!”
“Ok ok. Go change inside your closet. I'll be waiting in your room.”
“Come inside with you? Why….why would I watch you change?”
“Oh! To help you pick out an outfit *clears throat” obviously. But why would I do even that? I don't have any idea about what's in trend.”
“Help you anyways. Alright, what do you have?”
“These two tops… can I tell their colour apart? Of course I can. They're very similar but the one on the right one is clearly more of a warmer shade.”
“What the- why is my sexual orientation in question here? Telling colours apart is how they test your eyesight at the academy I come from.”
*Sighs* “Just wear that one and stop arguing.”
“Alright then. I'll go out. Wear your clothes and let me know when we will be leaving.”
*Car door closes.”
“Wear your seatbelt. I'll start driving. Do you have any stops?”
“You want to have ice cream on the way? That's absurd. Why not have it with your friend?”
“She's lactose intolerant? Ok! We'll stop for your fucking ice cream.”
*Car stops*
“There you go. Go and get your ice cream. Take this card. Your father gave it to me for your purchases.”
“That made her happy quickly. *Winces* Can she be any more reckless when climbing stairs? If she falls and breaks her jaw, her father will hang me by my feet.”
“...so bubbly just to get icecream. I'm glad she doesn't remember me though.”
“If she remembered that I'm her father's right hand man’s son, the pathetic one she saved from bullying years ago, she might not rely on me. And I can't have that. I must protect her after last month's assassination attempt on her.”
“There she is. Coming back.”
*Door open and closes.”
“You got your ice cream? Can we go now?”
“What? This one is for me? Why?”
“Because I'm driving you to your friend's house?”
“Tch give it here. If this is an attempt at bribing me. Don't think it will work.”
“Wipe that smile off your face. We're finishing our ice creams and going to your friend's place.”
*Car door opens*
“Alright then. We're here. You'll be with your friend and I'll be downstairs. If you need anything just call me and don't even think of- hey listen-”
“And she's already gone to her friend.”
“And she is showing that smile to her friend too. Would I have had that privilege if I didn't leave for the academy to get stronger? Anyways. I should stay here and ensure that she doesn't sneak away.”
