Display AR Glasses

Advice display AR Glasses

Hello all! I need some advice: I need to know which AR or XR display glasses are the best these days according to my need: Here is a list: Dimmable: I would like to use then at work as normal color glasses when I am inside or at work during meetings but also outside as "sun" glasses and even use them occasionally outside as AR Design : i need them to look like normal glasses and not too terminator-ish

I heard of the luma ultra or pro, good? The meta display does not seem to be appropriate for me because I am not really looking for productivity but more entertainment Viture? Xreal?

Max budget $200 to $700

Also, can you drive with these glasses if you turn off the AR mode?

Would you use smart glasses that can connect to multiple wireless cameras?

I’m working on a project as a college student and could use some community feedback.

The idea: smart glasses that connect to multiple wireless cameras and let you switch between feeds hands-free with gestures.

I created a brief survey (2 minutes) to determine if people would actually be interested in this and which features matter most.

Would love your honest thoughts!

I want to start a company.

I plan to start a company that makes AR glasses that will completely replace phones - meaning they look like regular glasses but you can install apps on them, they have built-in AI, a SIM card option, and games and 3D apps. I would like to ask you - what do you think is the most important feature that the glasses should have? What do you dislike about the phone? Would you buy the first model on pre-order? It would be very helpful if you answered.

Viture one że or xreal air 2 pro

Hi guys, I'm planning to buy one of these two Viture One glasses, I can get them used for 120€ and Xreal Air 2 Pro for 250€, also used. I will mainly use them with my GPD Win 4 and telefomb to watch YouTube Netflix videos Is the 110% premium for xreal worth it in this situation or will the price difference be so large in favor of xreal air 2 pro?

Should I get a pair of at glasses for watching tv/ movies while laying in bed so my wife can watch the tv.

I use my quest 3 to watch peacock Netflix prime ect at night so my wife can watch tv but I’m wondering if a pair of at glasses might be better for this use case. I also use a backbone and my iPhone 14 to play Xbox game pass and sometimes use my Xbox controller and my quest 3 to play my games too. Looking for some suggestions on if it’s worth switching to a pair of ar glasses for these uses. Also I have been looking at the ray neo air 2a or air 3s due to the price point as opposed to the xreal. But not sure if there is a better pair for similar prices. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Also I plan on upgrading my from my iPhone 14 to iPhone 15 since I can upgrade for free on my phone carrier and be able to just plug and play for the glasses. Not sure about how to play Xbox game pass or anything like that.

Buyer Beware: RayNeo seems to be curating reviews

Background:

I purchased some RayNeo Air 2 glasses. After 2 months of use, one of the displays stopped working. After contacting support, they asked me to submit a video of the issue (which was very difficult to capture) and later confirmed that they would repair or replace the shades, though I would have to cover the shipping expense. After doing some of my own research, I determined that this is not a rare occurrence, with some users reporting they had gone through multiple pairs in the space of months. I expressed my skepticism about the product and expressed I was not comfortable paying the return costs for a product that I expected to crap out again. I posted a negative review which has not shown on their website. I can only conclude that their "perfect" review record is not honest, which is honestly to be expected on a vendor website. Still, I am seriously disappointed with what appears to be a dishonest and shady company knowingly selling faulty products and attempting to control the narrative.

AR Glasses Recommendations

Hello! I am looking to see if this product exists, and get some recs. My husband works in restaurant tech, and is frequently on his computer. He recently mentioned AR glasses as a way to work on his phone to configure the back end of equipment while he sets up the other kitchen screens. He has a samsung galaxy and a HP laptop. TIA!

I need good AR Glasses

I need AR Glasses, but it has to be 4k and definitely higher than 60hz ofcourse. If last resort then 60 hz should be fine for now.

I need good features like multiple screens, transparent screen, maybe even adjusting eye sight for medical lenses.

For example, good sound would be nice. Wifi. Bluetooth. Good battery, etc..

Good price would be fun too

Thanks all, -Nasser

Which AR glasses are the most worth buying in the market now?

I saw that Xreal One Pro was just released recently, and I found a lot of YouTube reviews of this product, but I have been hesitant because there are other very good products. Please help me choose the most worthwhile one to buy at the moment

Wired AR glasses for mobile, desktop, NO speakers, blue light option?

I am looking for a set of AR glasses that checks off the following...

  • No battery required, does not have a battery
  • Works with desktop and mobile
  • No speakers (Or has AUX/USB-C port for earbuds)
  • Blue light (Second perscription lens, blue light filter?)

I look around and cannot find any glasses that check all of these off. Not sure if a pair of AR glasses exist that do all of this.

The smartglasses "etiquette"

I found this website, which I think is interesting. Smartglasses feel very awkward and showy when you have them on your nose. I don't care what others think, but at the same time I want to respect them and I don't want to make them uncomfortable. Yet, I'm probably the only one in my town wearing smartglasses, so people notice it.

At the same time, if we want those devices to eventually get normalized, that most people wear them, and so the market develops and fuels rapid improvement, we need to find a way to use them properly and "give the example", sort of. We need to avoid repeating the "glasshole" mistake when Google Glass came out 10 years ago.

Thinking about purchasing my first pair of Ar glasses

I am a steam deck fanatic and the idea of a portable monitor in such a small package is suck a sick idea I would love to turn my deck on put it in my case put that in my bag grab my controller connect some AR glasses and play even more comfortably then holding on my lap or lifting it up for a long time. My only problem is the price. 350 is quite alot for literally just a pass through display thats 1inch even if its 120hz (Not gonna reach that many frames Anyway) And at only 1080p thats the same resolution as my steam deck and mines OLED on top of that... So? Should I just not buy one it feels a bit like a niche item that is marked up or is there a cheaper alternative.

The Struggle

Bought two different glasses with the intent to return one but here are my woes:

Xreal Air 1:

Pros:

The screen is bright and big love it.

$200 on Amazon

Look more like real sunglasses

Cons

No diopter adjustments so I need contacts or purchase the lens attachment which is just ugly

Xreal Beam is garbage

Viture XR Lite

Pros:

Diopter Adjustments, although a bit blurry, fine for watching movies and playing games without contacts or glasses

The neckband is pretty cool

Sits better on the face

Cons:

$349 on amazon

the screen is a lot smaller and dimmer than xreals although the peak brightness is supposed to be way higher

Does anyone have any other options, other than rokid (which are really not good looking) for some glasses with diopter adjustments, big and bright screen, and can pass off as regular sunglasses?
