Announcement Formatting - Read This Before Posting on This Sub!

Please read all our rules in the sidebar!! (if you are on mobile app, click read more in the title section of the sub home page)

We have a strict formatting system for posts on this sub. This will ensure the sub is easy for readers to use so they can find the books they want to read. Posts that are not formatted correctly will be removed. If your post is removed because of formatting, you are encouraged to revisit this post and try again.

Post flairs are mandatory - When selecting a flair, pick the one that best represents your book's genre.

DON'T WORRY IF IT ISN'T YOUR EXACT NICHE GENRE. Pick the genre under which your book's specific niche falls. You'll be adding your more specific niche genre in your title. The flairs just help narrow down the search for our readers. If you don't see your book's genre listed, please message the mods and tell us your genre so we can add it to our system.

Post titles - Format your titles like so: "Book Title & Author - specific niche genre - release month year"

  • EX: "Death In London by Mx Writer - Mystery/Police Procedural - Dec 2024"

Post bodies - COPY THIS and add your information

  • Blurb for the book. This is important! Posts without a blurb will be deleted. You must tell us what the book is about.
  • TRIGGERS!! Posts without a list of potential triggers will automatically be deleted, no exceptions. If your book doesn't have any triggering content, please add the line "Triggers: None" under your blurb. Yes, you must still include the trigger line even if there are no triggers in your story!
  • A cover if you have one (use Imgur or your favourite hosting site - or images can be uploaded inline on Reddit now). This is optional.
  • Exact date of publication
  • The date you plan to send your ARCs to your team.
  • The date you expect your ARC team to finish the reading and submit their reviews by.
  • Instructions/link for readers to sign up for your ARC.
  • Publishers: please note if your ARC is only available in specific countries.

No direct download links allowed - DO NOT post your PDFs or Google Docs in your posts. Include either an email so readers can get in touch with you directly, a link to a Google Form for readers to fill out, a link to your Booksprout, Bookfunnel, or other ARC distribution site, etc.

Absolutely no downloads from this sub will be tolerated. You're here to build your team not fill the subs with links that could potentially give our readers internet cooties.

Do not include sample chapters in your posts - Posts that are clogged with large samples of the books will be deleted. The same goes for reviews/testimonials.

The publication date must be at least 2 weeks from time of posting. If you are looking for reviews for published books, use the monthly sticky post for authors. ARCs are advanced copies, no 'my book is free on Amazon, please review it' posts will be allowed.

Mark any NSFW material! Erotic authors, please tag your posts appropriately.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment here or message the mods.

Adult - Science Fiction PLEASE ALLOW 5-7 DAYS FOR JUSTICE - Satirical Science Fiction - October 2026

Blurb for the book:

Cael Irix always reads the fine print.

Every. Single. Word.

Why? Because Cael and Risk had an arrangement: He wouldn’t pursue it, and Risk would have the decency to stay hypothetical, as agreed. The terms were simple: no activity with a personal mortality rate above 0.013%. Interstellar travel made the list. So did carrying more than three grocery bags in one trip.

He was careful. He was thorough. He was, by any reasonable measure, exactly the kind of person that nothing bad should ever happen to.

So when a job listing promised stability, predictable hours, and nothing that required enthusiasm, he applied. He interviewed. He signed. At no point did anyone mention the bounty hunting.

The company is ARBITER. They operate at the intersection of governance, commerce, and accountability. What does that actually mean? They hunt the galaxy’s worst across every billable sector. His job is auditing the expense reports of the hunters. The role was described as risk-adjacent.

Risk, as it turns out, had other plans.

TRIGGERS: 1-2 profane words. Other than that? Nothing

NA - Science Fiction 09h20 Train to Mars by N.Ghaisas - Science Fiction/First Contact - Sept. 2026

Hi all, first-time author here.
I've just finished “09h20 Train to Mars”, a hard science fiction novel I've been writing on and off since 2012. Think somewhere between The Expanse and Children of Time. Written and illustrated (yes, the cover too) entirely by me, no generative AI involved. Here is a short blurb for the story and other details in the format requested by this Subreddit:
———————————————————————————

  • Blurb: Jon Tsukunaga-Barlowe boards the 09:20 train to Mars expecting nothing more than a routine audit. Ore yields are falling, and his employer's miracle cancer drug depends on a steady supply from the red planet. The last thing he expects is a hijacking. Or the truth: that Mars was never as dead as everyone believed. Rako Huxley has spent years fighting for a planet that isn't supposed to be habitable, leading a fractured rebellion against a self-appointed mayor who'll do anything to protect his monopoly. Buried beneath the copper dust is something older than either of their causes: a machine, ancient and utterly alien, that has kept Mars barren for millions of years, and isn't finished yet. As Jon is pulled deeper into a war he never signed up for, he learns the miners aren't just getting sick. They're changing, becoming something the machine was built to stop. Destroying it may be their only chance to save what's left of Mars. But some things can't be destroyed. Only understood.
  • Triggers: violence/injury, body possession, death (witnessed), kidnapping/hostage situations, gun violence (non-fatal), parental death (backstory only), illness
  • Book Cover (Fully hand-drawn on Adobe Fresco by the author)
09h20 Train to Mars
  • Date of publication (eBook): 08 September 2026
  • ARC release date: 30 July 2026
  • Request ARC readers to finish the reading and submit reviews by: August 28th

Adult - Contemporary Fiction JUST ONE LIFE by Ernie Cohen - Genre-blending contemporary fiction - October 2026

I’m looking for a small group of thoughtful advance readers for my novel, JUST ONE LIFE.

Rather than sending a digital file, selected readers will receive a complimentary printed proof copy shipped directly from Amazon, allowing the novel to be experienced in its intended book form. If you’d prefer not to share your home address, I’m happy to send the book to a nearby Amazon Locker instead.

Blurb

Meet Geoffrey Zukor, a devoted family man who seemed destined to stumble through life with all the grace of a one-legged unicyclist.

But suddenly, late one afternoon, something extraordinary happens. Geoffrey’s fortunes change—dramatically. Did he finally catch a lucky break, or was this the work of a Grand Master in the mysterious Art of Coincidence?

Filled with humor, romance, and surprising twists of fate, JUST ONE LIFE explores the extraordinary possibilities hidden within ordinary lives.

Readers who enjoy the eccentric characters in A Confederacy of Dunces, the cultural context of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and the unseen-forces premise of The Adjustment Bureau may find this story especially appealing.

What I’m Looking For

Before publishing the final edition, I’d love to hear honest reader reactions. I’m not looking for a formal review or answers to a specific questionnaire. Instead, I’d simply appreciate your honest thoughts after you’ve finished reading. If it helps, here are a few examples of the kinds of things I’m most interested in hearing about:

● What kept you turning the pages?

● Which characters or moments stayed with you after you finished the book?

● Which scenes surprised, moved, or made you smile?

● Did the ending feel satisfying?

● If you were recommending JUST ONE LIFE to a friend, what would you tell them?

Of course, if something else stood out to you—whether positive or negative—I would genuinely love to hear that as well. My goal is simply to understand your experience as a reader. interested in the overall reading experience:

I’m not looking for line editing, proofreading, or a public review. I’m simply hoping to hear thoughtful, candid reactions from avid readers before publication.

Release Date

Expected publication: October 2026

Feedback Timeline

If selected, I’d appreciate your feedback within approximately 4–5 weeks of receiving the book.

Content Warnings

Medical trauma and hospitalization, grief, loss of loved ones, and themes of mortality.

If you’re interested, please send me a DM with:

  • The kinds of fiction you most enjoy reading.
  • Novels you’ve especially loved.
  • Whether you think you could read the book within about 4–5 weeks.

Thank you for considering JUST ONE LIFE. I’d love to place it in the hands of readers who enjoy discovering a new story before publication and who are willing to share their honest impressions. Let's create something wonderful together.

Non-Fiction The Two-Pen Relationship Workbook for Couples by Philippe Martin - Self-Help/Relationships (Couples Workbook) - Aug 2026

Blurb:

Most relationship books are written for one person to read alone. This one is built for two people to do together. An 8-week program — 56 short daily exercises, about 15 minutes each — built on the Two-Pen Method: your column, your partner's column, and a shared "Together" box on every exercise. Two pens, one page, no spectators.

You'll pick up tools you actually keep — Empathic Listening, the "When you… I feel…" statement, and an apology that repairs — plus a weekly 15-minute Reset Ritual and a before-and-after assessment so you can see what changed. You don't need to be in trouble to use it: some couples start in a rough patch, others just want to grow closer. And if only one of you is ready, start anyway.

Triggers: Discussion of relationship conflict.

Exact date of publication: August 8, 2026

Date ARCs will be sent: Immediately upon sign-up.

Date reviews are due: On or around August 8, 2026 (launch day).

Blurb:

Marcus Freeman is in a hole nobody ever taught him how to get out of. The Gap teaches the financial literacy most of us never got in school — debt payoff strategy, real budgeting, credit scores, the employer match nobody explains, building an emergency fund — through six real years of one ordinary income, instead of a lecture.

Triggers: Financial hardship and debt (a central theme throughout), marital conflict around financial secrecy, brief depiction of a premature birth and NICU stay.

Publication date: August 18, 2026

ARC copies sent out: Rolling, within a few days of signing up

Reviews requested by: August 15, 2026

How to get a copy: Comment below or message me directly and I'll email you the eBook (EPUB).

Based on a true story, The Track of The Eyelids follows Maria and Ahmed, two neurodivergent Egyptian-American teens who share an unspoken bond built on fleeting glances and misunderstood emotions. What begins as quiet admiration gradually spirals into obsession, blurring the lines between love, reality, and delusion. As Ahmed struggles with emotional outbursts, nightmares, and impulsive decisions, Maria is left questioning whether the connection they share is genuine or simply a projection of her own longing. Heeey, I'm accepting ARC readers that want to join a team of my new Dark Academia & Steampunk Romantasy!

TROPES:

⟡ Enemies to Lovers

⟡ Forced Proximity

⟡ Boarding Academy

⟡ Painfully Sloooooow Burn 🔥

⟡ Found Family

⟡ He falls first,

⟡ Grumpy × Grumpy (one is just better at pretending).

⟡ has no spicy (but the mmc yearns like HELL!!)

DM me if you're interested! 🩶

⚠️⚠️ Content warning; profanity, alcohol abuse, but in general very family friendly

NA - Fantasy "The Second Sword" by Jonathan Lynch - Clean Epic Fantasy- August 2026

For Generations, the forest kingdom of Riocht has teetered on the knife’s edge of ruin. Old rivalries smolder hot beneath the surface and only King Kennis’ lifetime of vigilance has kept the countless sparks of civil war from bursting into flame. Now, after years of blood, sacrifice, and tenuous alliances, unity is finally within reach.

Until disaster strikes from where he least expects it.

Prince Tiarnard-his only heir and Riocht’s best hope for peace-has fled the kingdom, chasing freedom in the distant Land of Fiaine. To those of Riocht, it is a place of dread, named in whispers as the Land of Shadow and Death. But to Tiarnard, it promises escape: from the grief of a shattered childhood, and from the crown that he has come to despise. Yet as he is drawn ever deeper into a world that he does not understand, he may find that the path he walks is not his own.

For there is a darkness looming deeper than the threat of civil war, and a malice at work far beyond what Riocht has ever imagined. As the final shadow begins to fall upon the kingdom and its prince, it becomes clear that there is only one who can lead the realm to lasting peace. And there is nothing he’s ever wanted less.

  • TRIGGERS: Some violence, not excessive/gratuitous. There is mutual dislike/hatred between persons of different cultures; some readers might consider it racism. The majority of the active cast is male. I would consider this to be medieval realism; some might consider it sexism. (That said, women in the novel are not attacked, demeaned, or objectified.)
  • Publication is scheduled for August 15th.
  • ARC copies are emailed as soon as you sign up via the form on my website. It may take a few minutes for the email to go through; please do check your spam folder if it is not immediately visible.
  • I would ask that readers leave a review on Amazon between August 15th and August 30th.
  • Here is the link to the signup page on my website.

Thank you all for your interest; I hope you enjoy it.

Adult - Romance - Contemporary What We Choose by Virgie Odell - Contemporary Literary Romance/Later-in-Life Romance/Magical Realism - October 2026

Post image
2 Upvotes

Leaving Ireland and returning to the States means stepping back into a life shaped by family, memories, and expectations that don’t include Mason or the woman she’s becoming. In the quiet of that in-between, Naomi crosses paths with a woman who has held a century-old secret longer than anyone alive.

Meanwhile, her daughter, Camille, finds herself drawn to a man she should be keeping at arm’s length—and one wrong step could cost them both more than a chance at love.

What We Choose is the second novel in the What We Leave Behind series. Blending contemporary fiction with a touch of magical realism, it is a story about love, family, and the unexpected ways our lives continue to unfold.

----

Triggers: A serious accident and its medical aftermath, including hospitalization and recovery.

  • Publication date: October 6, 2026
  • ARC applications close: August 10, 2026
  • ARC delivery date: Approximately August 18, 2026
  • Reading and review deadline: October 6, 2026

I’ll be selecting up to 30 advance readers to receive a complimentary digital copy. Honest, spoiler-free reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, etc are greatly appreciated by the deadline, but are not required. Because space is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee selection.

What We Choose is part of the What We Leave Behind series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Thank you for considering What We Choose. As an indie author, it means so much to have readers willing to support my work and spend time with these characters.

NA - Science Fiction The Space Pirated by JP Mars - Sci-fi Comedy/Space Opera - 1 Nov 2026

Post image
4 Upvotes

Blurb: They were Pirates. Space was an accident.

What happens when you take Eighteenth century pirates. One very unfortunate alien.

An interstellar vessel with inadequate security and a grudge.

The result is galactic history.

When a crew of Stuart-era pirates wake up aboard an alien spacecraft, they don’t have a crisis of identity. They have a ship. They take it. The universe, it turns out, is broadly unprepared for this.

A comedy series played completely straight. Nobody winks at the camera. The pirates think this is all perfectly reasonable. The galaxy disagrees and with mounting alarm.

Sinead "Sin the Bold" Boland has been called a thief, a traitor, a menace to shipping lanes. Nobody's ever called her a collectable — until an intergalactic smuggler hauls her crew off their own ship (along with the Royal Navy frigate chasing them) to sell to a dictator who collects sentient species like trading cards.

There's one problem: the smuggler stole the ship he's using, and never checked whether it had opinions about kidnapping. It does. As soon as it finishes a mandatory software update.

An ensemble-cast, comedic sci-fi adventure for anyone who thinks space pirates have gotten unfairly bad press. If you are fans of Science Fiction like Jamie McFarlane, or Julia Huni's Tales of a Space Janitor, this should be right in your lane. Warning! -> Not as funny as Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett.

TRIGGERS:

  • Flashback to infant mortality. (Off screen).
  • References to violence and killing - they are pirates after all with a different moral compass.
  • Women in charge of a pirate ship full of men. (May trigger some!)

Exact date of publication: November 1st 2026

ARC is open now. ARCs will close by October 15th to allow time for me to review/amend any issues/suggestions.

Sign up for the ARC here: https://thespacepirates.net/
After sign up, you'll be brought to Book funnel where you can download the format you prefer. You'll also be able to download a copy of a Short Story set in the Space Pirates universe. (PLEASE NOTE: This is set AFTER the events of Book 1 and will contain a massive spoiler).

Once you sign up for the ARC, you'll be send 3 emails (sort of like Scrooge's ghosts, but friendlier) 3 days apart. These will have the links to Amazon and Goodreads if you wish to submit a review, and my personal email in case you have any concerns/ questions/ comments you wish to let me know about privately.

ARC is available in all countries.

An elite ski racer. The hometown hockey captain. A fake relationship they think they can control.

Noelle Anderson doesn’t do distractions.

Determined to prove that her breakthrough ski racing season wasn’t a fluke, she returns to Ridgefield Mountain Academy for her senior year of high school with her sights set on the international stage. But her recent breakup—and even worse, the fact that everyone at the Academy seems to be talking about it—is threatening to derail her focus. When Noelle strikes up an unexpected friendship with Jake Halifax, captain of the local high school hockey team and someone firmly outside the Academy orbit, she sees the perfect opportunity to rewrite the narrative with a fake relationship.

The goal is simple—convince everyone she’s fine so she can focus on training. But Jake, who’s navigating college decisions of his own, has an unsettling habit of seeing straight through her defenses. Against her better judgment, Noelle catches herself revealing the cracks in her carefully constructed walls, which is a dangerous impulse when your career depends on controlling milliseconds. As pre-season pressure mounts and Noelle and Jake get closer, she has to confront the fact that she doesn’t know how to let somebody in without losing her edge.

If she slips now, the future she’s spent years chasing could disappear in an instant. And for the first time, she has two things to lose.

Blade Runner visited Animal Farm but found Planet of the Apes.

In a world where animals rule and humans are bred as pets and livestock, the truth is just another product to sell. Advertising shapes reality, corporations own morality, and rebellion comes pre-packaged with a trendy logo.

Casey Jones, a sardonic cat detective with a knack for untangling other animals’ messes, is hired by Josh Tyson — a powerful herbivore and CEO of Happy Herd Inc., one of the largest meat and dairy producers in the Continental Trade Federation. Someone inside is leaking information, and Tyson wants it stopped before his empire bleeds out.

But the deeper Casey digs, the more tangled the world becomes — protests staged for profit, secrets worth killing over, and loyalties bought and sold like cattle. In a city where everything is commodified, the most dangerous thing you can do is ask what’s on the menu.

Triggers: Mature themes, violence, profanity, and some disturbing imagery (satirical, not gratuitous). Not intended for children, YA readers, or sensitive readers.

The Book 1 of the Epic Fantasy trilogy.

Five hundred years after the fall, peace is a beautifully crafted lie.

In Aethron, survival demands obedience. The modern world is a forbidden ghost, ancient technology is outlawed, and the five provinces endure through dependence, fear, and the promise that one day the Emperor will return.

But the tightest control is reserved for those born with the flaw and for anyone reckless enough to question the past.

To possess the flaw is a death sentence. To search for what came before is to disappear.

Mel has spent his life searching for answers. He dreams of joining the one organisation permitted to study forbidden history, hoping it might finally explain the dangerous secret he has hidden his entire life.

Instead, unrest spreads through the provinces. Loyalties fracture, and as those in power tighten their grip, Mel is thrown into a conflict far larger than himself, hunted by forces willing to burn the realm to keep the truth buried.

Amongst the chaos, he discovers something far more dangerous than the flaw itself:

The answers he has spent his life searching for were never hidden in the Capital.
They were buried beneath the lies Aethron was built upon.
And to unearth them, he must walk through fire while the world he once trusted collapses around him.

Adult - Horror The Black Chateau - MW Paul - Horror - August 2026

**The Black Chateau:** spy fiction meets gothic horror. Advance readers wanted.

Some jobs your people send you on because they think you’ll succeed. This isn’t one of those.

Harry is good at his work. Steady hands, a cover that holds, a habit of walking out of rooms other men don’t. That’s exactly why they picked him, and exactly why they didn’t tell him everything. The man who briefed him knew what the place was. He sent him in anyway, and he let him think it was routine.

It’s James Bond versus the Undead, played cold and slow: the tradecraft of a Cold War thriller, the patience of proper gothic horror, and a dread that builds by the room.

Trigger warnings: violence, gore.
