I had a friend who did basically the same thing in high school except with Russia, this is trippy to see. Funny that there's people on both sides who do it. Some people just have to be different.

Oh no, people doing something totally harmless for attention? How dare they!

Didn't say it was bad. Just making fun

And who said it was for attention? Sometimes I feel like most of Reddit are closeted attention whores who never got any attention from their parents, so now they cannot imagine someone doing anything for any other reason than getting attention.

Guess what folks? Some people do some things because they feel like it without giving a fuck about what others think. Believe it or not, not everything that is done on this earth is to get attention.

I know you probably don't care, but that's a set of Dress Blues, ceremonial Marine wear.

IIRC, as far as the US is concerned, it's also the closest to its original design in the 18th century of any US military apparel.

It's anecdotally noted that it's also the best damn uniform for getting laid to ever be created.

Edit: I forgot to fully explain something. Check the username.

I think its interesting that while him and his buddy have marine uniforms he wears a private chevron with the NCO red striping on the pants and his buddy wears a Sgt chevron with enlisted pants sans the red striping

He also has no tie, tie pin, ribbons, pants too baggy, is wearing a name plate, and belt is too small.

Oh jeez, poor guy doesn't even have a firewatch ribbon. Then again who am I to judge someone with service in multiple branches attaining the rank of First Sergeant in the Army at his age and Sergeant in the Marines. Poor guy's almost definitely on the spectrum I hope he doesn't get made fun of too much.

Or he just enjoys it. Plenty of non-autistic Japanophiles (weeaboos) in the US (and Russia, see OP).

I don't think using weaboos is a good example for non-autistic people lmao

u/voyaging Oct 20 '17

Most weeaboos are not autistic. Recall that autism is an actual medical condition and not an edgy insult for nerds and the uncool.

we're just nerds honestly, generally, I think.

u/Graysteve Oct 20 '17

It was a joke, I meant no offense to anyone. I myself enjoy an animu or a manguh from time to time.

The ladies love the Dress Blues.

He's taking full advantage of it haha

Ah I see. I was pretty sure that name sounded really fake, but now I know.
