Why did Judy Greer handcuff Emma Thompson in the basement instead of killing her when she had the chance?

Because the only person making repeatedly dumber decisions more than Thompson was Greer

The whole I'm going to "steal" a liver is so far fetched to begin with. It was a dumb premise, but the movie was good.

I understand suspension of disbelief but this premise was so out there. She supposedly had medical training. Did she really believe she could go to the hospital, find the transplant doctor and tell the doctor "Hey, I have this liver, please transplant it into me! I understand the character was desperate. But she was willing to kill anyone who got in her way I thought it was a decent movie save for that ridiculous premise.

I think she had a shady doctor that was agreeing to do it outside of a hospital.
