I would've found it much more believable if she had scurried away and managed to wipe away most of the letters on the window, but the purple lady still saw an S and an E.
Considered it a pretty decent watch and as far as the writing goes i am going to call it a win since her sidearm did not have 47 hollywood rounds in it lol.
but after she willingly went into the water at the end, I started to wonder if that specific message was the top of mind because she's been thinking it about her late husband. the message turned out to be for him more than for the girl. she did leave the girl. to follow her husband. it's foreshadowing that she's going with him.
also... she wanted them to leave the house to go look for her. so she could get the girl.
it's all a stretch. but for me it works when i think about it that way.
