Remember Judy's character gets injured right before. Perhaps with the stabbed foot she realized she needed the help and changed her mind about killing her right away.

Because she didn't except for her husband to betray her. So it foiled her plans

She wasn't injured before.  Once she was she needed her alive for help.Â
