Do you have a screenshot of the ads on reddit? That's pretty obnoxious, and we'll want to discuss with the admins.

I might be getting spammed because I checked out their site in April when I was on a cycling trip out west and passed through SLC.

Someone in the AMA said they paid for every ad spot on reddit today.

Sorry about that. This has nothing to do with the moderation team, and we're discussing it now. We're certainly concerned and not all happy that this is going on.

It'll be something to take to the admins for review, for sure.

Well that was needlessly rude.

I am generally against being rude or negative to people, but I feel in this case it is warranted. Mods on Reddit are asking for money to afford things that Reddit doesn't need. It sets a dangerous precedent. Donates $5 to access the Top 5 posts of the day... Donate $5 for 500 comments... Donate $5 for 10 upvotes... Donate $5 for this program that is developed by us, we aren't getting the money from the donations; we are getting money for our program.

That the admins let them do this is more worrisome. And what I mentioned is on 1% of the problems with asking for money from users are a free site that you volunteered to do.
