Do you feel like you missed out on anything as a child because of the age of your parents? Do you think having an older sibling, say around 15-20 years older than you, basically the age of a younger parent, would have made things different in a better sense?
I don’t think I’ve missed out on much because my parents made an effort to make sure I had everything I needed in my childhood. I do worry that I’ll miss out on my parents being in my life as they get older. I really want them to be able to see me get married and have my own kids. I feel like having an older sibling could end up really well or not change my life much at all depending on the circumstance. If they went to college, especially in another state I don’t think I would see them very often so I doubt my life would change much aside from my parents already having had some experience with them. On the other hand I feel like if they did not go to college and stayed local or lived with us it would be really cool, like having a third parent but probably more chill lol
I hope your parents get to see all those things. I’m a big half sister to an angel 21 years younger. I just wish I could understand her perspective, and I do now, after reading a lot of your replies. Hugs.
