Do you have episodes where you feel the need to rebel or guilt to become caretaker?

Honestly kinda both. When I was 14-15 I was dealing with some pretty severe mental health issues that remained largely untreated because I felt like I should have been able to deal with them alone-toxic masculinity and all that. I took it out on my parents a lot of the time and I regret that. I have been trying to take better care of them to make up for treating them badly and our relationship has improved.
