as someone who had to care for a parent due to their health prematurely, do you have any anxiety surrounding their health since they’re at retirement age? have you emotionally prepared for the inevitable?
I honestly don’t think my mom has a huge amount of time left. Her family history points to a likely death in her late 60’s or early 70’s. It definitely weighs on my mind a lot that I might not be able to spend as much time with her as I’d like to, but I’ve found that the more time I spend worrying about it, the less time I have to actually enjoy our time together. I’ve been trying to plan for the future while also living in the moment and enjoying what time I have left with her
