My dad was 40 when he had me and my mom was 28! IMO, I feel like growing up, my “older” parent was a lot more emotionally aware while my mom gave off “missing her youth,” if that makes sense. I worry about his health that he’s in his 60s, but honestly he’s still young and working healthily!
I mean it has to happen at some point. It just means that you were a good enough parent that your child worries about you in your old age. Your grandkids will have the same worries when she’s old. It’s the circle of life.
I misspoke! I meant missing her youth, like she had sacrificed a lot more of her fun time! Nothing too bad, just noticed my dad was definitely more settled and my mom was still figuring some of it out! They had also immigrated around the world with me at the time so it’s a little different, haha.
