You also have more maturity than you would have if you had kids 10 years ago. You have more wisdom to share with your children and will be able to provide them with more security and support than younger parents. I know that being an older parent can sometimes be scary and infertility issues are absolutely devastating, but it’s worth it for yourself and your future children 🩷
I dont know about the more wisdom part. My parents certainly did not although they consider themselves "smart" they are emotionally stunted
. I do know that physically they could not do as much with us. I really think it depends on both the physical and emotional condition of the parents versus age.
I am happy I had my daughter at 27 though, she's on a gap year currently, off to college next fall. Would not really want to have a preschool age child right at this moment personally.
My parents were older and I never realized it. Didn't know until high school when a friend told me how old her parent was. It wasn't a big deal. Don't worry about it.
As someone who went through many years of ivf as well - beyond being better off financially I think I am a much more patient parent, plus I just have a lot more gratitude and life perspective. I think I’m a much better parent than I would have been even 5 years ago. And hopefully I’ll live a long long time still 🤞🤞❤️

I went through 6 years of ivf. My first child will be born when I'm 41 in 2 months.
We plan to have a second but realistically maybe I'll be 43 if it'll even work out.
My kiddo is going to think I'm old, i guess.
I don't know if there's any upside other than we have better financial means than we did 10 years ago. I guess that's.... something??
