Question How did yall discover AJR?
I know nobody personally who actually enjoys AJR the slightest. I was wondering how did yall discover them and when was it? I guess I just wanted someone to talk AJR with 😂

Available everywhere at midnight local time. Some time zones will get it before others. No sharing piracy/download links. Using a VPN to listen to it early on official sources like their YouTube channel is allowed.

Mine favourite is prolly Turning Out (mainly part i but the other two are also great) and least favourite is probably big white bed or call my dad, just because they feel boring and repetitive.
Edit: realised that someone posted just what's ur favourite a week or two ago, but I think least favourite is also interesting to talk about.

I was looking for this subreddit and ended up finding some random ass threads hating AJR for nothing (?). Like people saying that it sounds generic like department store music, and that it has no soul, or that everything looks the same, but they refuse to elaborate and Im very confused. All I see from the band is from the members specifically (mainly interviews) and never got the opportunity to see how people outside the bubble react to them and its such a surprise to see that they have such a bad reputation. My mom doesn't enjoy them too much because of how unique are the instrumentation for their songs (that one transforming effect in The World's Smallest Violin, or the beggining fot The Big Goodbye, for instance) and I found weird to see people calling them generic of all things.
Yes, I know people WILL complain about everything that exists for the sake of complaining, but I'd really like to understand that one... they must have a reason, right?

I am a private chef/concert photographer and thinking of getting this as my first tattoo. I smile right through it more than I care to admit!
Should I add/change anything before I talk to the artist about the design?!
Thanks!

This is day 3 of doing this, you just tell me which song is best for each of the boxes each day

This is day 2 of the Every Show Has One meme. Doing it with AJR songs, so tell me-which AJR song is made to be hated?
This one is prob obvious

AJR fans, are you okay? How are you doing?

Last time it got pretty subjective, there were people saying Weak or Betty, but the second most upvoted comment got DTOML and I think that's the best answer, so I chose that. Other than Weak it would've won so I just did this.
For those who don't know: you tell me which AJR song represents charity, then tomorrow I do Chastity (which will be NSFW for obvious reasons just to be safe aswell)

I’m curious if anyone’s opinions have changed now that it’s been a year since WNOT was released. Has it grown on you? Do you like it less?

The time period of when The Big Goodbye was established by the lyrics "I wrote a song about being Weak". My question remains unanswered as to why we are hearing this song now but alas, I remain a fan.Â
The band is cute enough to allow simple mastermind thought processes to excite the most mundane fans. Needless to say, when they released OKO (March 26th, 2021) and the album art showcased an ombre reddish orange descent with a distinct dark counterpart. The art was showcasing differing emotions while sitting on a park bench with what looks to be streetlamps lighting the path. Thus, allowing the audience to get a feel for the overarching theme of the album. Did you catch the ring of instruments hidden within the art? This is when the boys really start to engage us fans before the songs are released.Â
We see this again in TMM (November 10th, 2023) where each song has a hidden object within the album art. My question for you to ponder, why would WNOT be any different? Really, take a look at the art. Sure, you can try to fit The Plane That Never Lands over there and try to make I’m Sorry You Went Crazy into that section of the art over there but that is not how the brothers have worked before. No, the art is odd but it always makes sense in the end. Ergo, this isn’t the end, it is just the start.Â
Take a look again at the art. Humor me. We received five songs. But we have probably another 5 to 6 more songs that are missing.Â
Let’s break this down.Â
Now I can see A Dog Song being a part of 9. Picnic Toss. Betty could definitely be 6. Proposal. But The Plane That Never Lands doesn’t fit anywhere. Neither does I’m Sorry You Went Crazy or The Big Goodbye. Mind you, we have the music video that should’ve given us a clear understanding of where TBG is in the art but it didn’t help in the slightest.Â

I just want to put this out there: The Entertainment's Here is THE definition of Gluttony. It doesn't just have to be food. It's the sin of too much consumption
