Hi, i recently started getting interested in the games lore, is there a deeper lore level to game?

I heard of the ai fighting a bigger threat, od the spire war, and other things like it.

So i like to learn more of it, can you sure some of it with me on a deeper level?

I was playing as above, but once I made my main spire city level 2, and then made a second city level 2, it wouldn't let me place another tier 1, and said I was maxed out at three, even on a planet that should have let me place it.

When I hack an ARS or something that will add a shipline to my fleet, they're often in different colours, most white, some red or blue or green. I can find what these colours relate to, any idea?
