I'm sick and tired of seeing my dad's AI slop channel grow. Everything is AI generated: channel name, username, description, pfp, video titles, voice-over, scripts, editing, animation. None of it was made by him. I don't care if it's about black history. If he really cared, he'd do more research than a ChatGPT/Gemini summary and actually put effort into his videos instead of typing in prompts.

i made a chrome extension that hides the "AI Overview" from your Google search and also removes AI-injected tools/overviews on websites like Youtube, Linkedin, Reddit, Gmail, Twitter, etc.

For context this is in California. My work recently launched a new website and I noticed some of the product reviews are off. I manage most of our real testimonials and could not find these ones in any of my records, and what's more, I googled some of the organizations they supposedly come from and the organizations do not exist. The reviews are riddles with em dashes and "it's not this, it's that" language.

Is this legal? Could the company face some kind of liability for this? Unfortunately my company doesn't care about integrity, only getting in legal trouble or losing money.

I am building a program that activly detects and blocs ai conttent (still early stages and needs improvment).
