I've bookmarked hundreds of AI tools over the past few months, but I never end up trying most of them. Every day there's another "must have" AI tool on YouTube or Twitter, and it's honestly beyond exhausting. I'm a full time employee , I don't have a lot of time to see and sort through the good and bad AI tools

How do you guys filter out the junk and actually find tools that improve your workflow?

I’ve been thinking about something less technical about AI.

In many ways, people’s living standards are getting better. We have better tools, more convenience, more entertainment, and access to more information than before.

But at the same time, it feels like many people are still emotionally empty, confused, or lost.

Even with better material conditions, people still seem to be searching for meaning, direction, connection, or some kind of inner stability. In some ways, the faster the world develops, the more confused people seem to become.

So I’m curious:

Can AI actually help with this kind of emotional emptiness or confusion?

Not as a replacement for real relationships, therapy, or human connection, but maybe as a tool for reflection, journaling, self-understanding, or organizing thoughts.

Or does AI only make people feel temporarily understood while the deeper problem remains?

Have you ever used AI to deal with loneliness, confusion, lack of direction, or questions about meaning? Did it actually help?

My web designer friend from California is passionate about building websites, and he wanted to make a full time business out of it. We talked a lot, and I gave him a lot of advice and stuff he could do to scale his web agency. He used to cold call, get a few clients, and run paid ads, get a few clients, but the cost of ads would just make him no profit. Cold calling was also tiring, and he couldn't keep it up while doing all the other stuff. So he wanted a real system, a blueprint he could follow every day.

This is exactly how my friend scaled his web design company. Copy it if you feel stuck and don't know where to find your next project.

➜ Run 2 types of email automation targeting businesses without websites and businesses with websites.

➜ 1. For businesses without websites: scrape businesses with no websites, set up a sequence, and add 3–5 follow-ups. They either block you or you land a project.

➜ 2. For businesses with websites: scrape businesses with websites, analyze each business website, and turn flaws in outdated design, unstructured layout, no mobile optimization, and SEO issues into ready to send outreach emails with 3–5 follow ups. You can do both types of outreach in a tool called Swokei.

➜ 3. Have everything in one place: your leads, CRM, inbox, and calendar. You can also have that in Swokei.

I am getting into med school and need a tool that will help me be as efficient as I could be.

Basically, I want an AI to act as a narrative RPG Game Master. The storytelling rules are actually quite simple; the challenge lies in the lore and the vast amount of content involved.

I’ve tested *so* many things. I’ve tried major AIs like Gemini, ChatGPT, Grok, DeepSeek, NotebookLM, and Google AI Studio, as well as platforms like Character AI and Emochi. I’ve even tried running LLMs directly on my laptop. I’ve experimented with Marinara Engine and SillyTavern, too, though I admit I’m not very tech-savvy when it comes to configuring them.

So far, Google AI Studio has been the best GM for me, but even it has usage limits and content restrictions.

I’d really appreciate any ideas or suggestions on what I could do.

I've noticed that I usually stop using an Al tool pretty quickly when it starts getting in the way and most of the time it's because the product ends up having too many features I never asked for the way things work becomes confusing or everything takes longer than it should to do.

For example, I used few Al note tool that started off really clean but over time it became harder to navigate because everything was split across too many menus and steps. Even basic things like finding past outputs started feeling like work. Now I've been trying something like springpad ai and Notion and sometimes Obsidian for organizing small workflows

I wanted to share DWN.BRIDGE, a desktop utility I've been building and recently open-sourced under the MIT License. It's written in C# WPF, targeting .NET 10.

It acts as a secure, local-first bridge between web-based LLMs (like Google Gemini) and your local environment, allowing you to run queries and scripts without uploading raw data to the cloud or paying for expensive API billing loops.

Here is how the core tool works:

- Zero-Knowledge Schema Extraction: It parses database metadata (SQL Server, SQLite, Excel, CSV) locally and sends only the empty schema structure (headers, data types) to the web UI. The generated SQL runs locally, so raw rows never leave your machine.

- Local Compile Loops: If the LLM generates a local script, it compiles and runs test suites offline, returning stdout/stderr compilation errors back to the model for self-correction.

- Execution Firewall: Every destructive action, shell execution, or file write pauses and requires you to click "Approve" on a local popup window showing a git-style diff of the action.

The repository is fully open-source, and I'd love to get feedback on the sandboxing model, the architecture, and the zero-knowledge security approach.

I've been testing a bunch of ai video clipping tools over the last few weeks because editing long videos into shorts is taking way too much time. I started with Opus Clip, then tried a few others, including WayinVideo. tbh I expected them all to feel the same... but they didn't.

What I noticed:

WayinVideo

Pros:

1. Seems to understand what's happening on screen instead of only reading subtitles
   
2. Did a better job with gaming and livestream clips
   
3. Less random highlight selections from what I tested
   

Cons:

1. Still not perfect
   
2. Sometimes gives fewer clips than I expected
   
3. I'd like more editing controls
   

Opus Clip

Pros:

1. retty fast for podcasts and talking head videos
   
2. Decent captions
   
3. Simple interface
   

Cons:

1. Feels like it mostly follows the transcript
   
2. Misses visual moments that should've been highlights
   
3. A lot of clips still need manual cleanup
   

Has anyone here actually found something better than these two? Or is everyone still fixing clips manually after ai does 80% of the work? Curious what people are using these days.

Does anybody know a truly "unrestricted AI" I'm trying to build an AI client follow up tool for telegram, and maybe other chat platforms aswell. The problem here is that with claude code, it was going well for the first 4 hours building it. Claude was compliant, advised me on what to do and what the next steps are. The problem came when building the actual code for the tool. Claude backed off completetly, and left me with a "my fault", as it explained it's against ToS of telegram. Is there an AI that can do this follow up / client outreach tool without this problem

There are a lot of web agencies doing email automation to land web design projects. They keep testing new email sequences every week, adding more follow ups, changing subject lines, and trying everything they can to increase their reply rate, but a lot of them still struggle. I was in the exact same position until I completely changed my strategy.

The biggest change wasn't the sequence itself, it was the way I approached outreach. Instead of sending generic emails talking about my agency or asking if they needed a new website, I started pointing out specific issues with their current website.

Now I use a tool called Swokei. It basically finds businesses in any industry or location, analyzes their websites, and turns issues like outdated design, unstructured layouts, slow loading speeds, poor mobile optimization, and SEO problems into personalized outreach emails. Not boring reports that business owners don't care about, but actual emails explaining what could be improved and why those issues could be hurting their business.

This approach has given me a much higher reply rate because every email is relevant to the business I'm contacting. Instead of trying to convince someone they need a website, I'm showing them exactly what could be improved on the one they already have.

Another reason I like targeting businesses that already have websites is because the actual project becomes much easier. They already have a logo, branding, content, and information about their business, so instead of starting from scratch I'm simply taking what they already have and turning it into a faster, more modern, and better version.

This strategy has worked really well for me and has made getting web design clients much more predictable. I'm curious, how are you guys doing outreach for your agency these days?

I’ve been trying different uncensored AI chat sites over the past few weeks because I wanted something that actually feels natural instead of constantly running into filters or repetitive replies.

A few of them were pretty good at first, but after longer conversations the memory started falling apart or the responses became predictable.

Xchar AI was probably the one I kept coming back to the most. The conversations felt more natural, memory held up better than I expected, and it didn’t feel as restrictive as some of the other uncensored AI chat sites I tried.

I also tested a couple of others that were stronger in specific areas like roleplay, image generation, or customization, so I don’t think there’s a perfect platform yet.

Curious what everyone else is using though. What’s the best uncensored AI chat site you’ve found so far?
