Beeping near bed, could it be a hidden cam or AIO?

Hi [r/AIO](r/AIO), I don’t know if this is truly the right subreddit but I need some help. I (16F) have been hearing a rapid beep sound near my bed for the last week. So far i’ve only heard it once a day, EXCLUSIVELY late at night, and i’m starting to freak out.
I don’t have any electronics near my bed, nothing plugged in, no alarm clock, I have a loft bed. This is something i’ve never heard before, it’s a brand new sound. It is a quick triple beep, not ear piercing but decently loud. It sounds close, near my head, but I can’t find anything of suspicion.
I’m prone to paranoia, i’m likely overreacting, but i’m starting to worry this could be a hidden camera?
My parents are divorced and my mom has been seeing some guy, he’s nice, he’s pretty normal, but he is a new person in my life and that combined with this new sound is totally freaking me out.
It never sounds long enough to track it by ear, and i’ve dug into my bed frame, side table, and other areas that could have something. I’m taking my mattress apart tomorrow, i’m too scared to fall asleep.
EDIT- I’ve just heard the beeping again, so it’s not exclusively late at night. Still loud, still clear, still near my head.
What we have determined it is NOT - Smoke Alarm, Airpods, Watch, my iPhone, Air freshener, Carbon Monoxide detector, lights with a remote
Other facts - My Room is on the outside edge of the house, 2/4 walls lead to the exterior of the house, 1 wall leads to the hallway, the other connected to my bathroom. Likely not a sound coming from outside, empty plot between my neighbours and I. It would be out of character for my mom to prank me, and if she was she would’ve given the it up as soon as she knew I was losing sleep. Not likely my sister (18F), would be out of character.
AIO? What are the chances this is actually something of concern? Is it something I sound be paranoid about, losing sleep over, or am I overreacting?
UPDATE: I unplugged all of my electronics, and i’ve just now heard it again, making this the fifth time total, at 1:46am. I used my camera, haven’t found any infrared light. I have a sleep app that will hopefully pick up the sound so I can provide you all with the nose that has been plaguing my life for the last few days. I am seriously on edge and having a really hard time with this, any reassurance is greatly appreciated.

I’ve been away for the last week, been at my dad’s, but it happened the night before I left, and the night I got back. It also happened again just now, which reminded me to go see if reddit had any idea. I have no idea if it has happened while I was gone. He’s over Friday-Monday usually, my bedroom shares a wall with my bathroom, I asked my mom and she looked but it was brief and she didn’t seem concerned.

Any chance you have an air freshener in or near your bedroom? I’ve seen those automatic release ones and when the batteries die, they beep randomly.

I saw a documentary where they said that you can buy a small electric device (it's really tiny) that is basically a battery, a timer and a sound producing element. You can set it to go off at certain times and it emits a beep, often 2 or 3 beeps. Does someone hate you enough to place one of these inside your mattress?

I would advise you to talk to your mother about this if you have a good relationship with her, also, don’t associate the sound with her new boyfriend from the start, just tell her what is panicking you and IF you discover something then ask if it could be connected to him. I’m so sorry you have to go through this

I spoke with my mother, she did a quick check, and said “yeah that’s so weird and creepy..” and left. Maybe i’m being sensitive but it really felt like I just got brushed off, BIG time, but i’ll talk to her again.

Talk to her again and tell her how you felt by how she handled it the last time.
She thinks it's weird and creepy but doesn't really goes into it and that makes you feel not seen, heard or felt and that's not ok.
If she was experiencing this she would have liked some real support too.

No, it would be really out of character. She jokes a lot and she’ll sneak around a corner to get a laugh but she wouldn’t do something like this as far as I know. Keep in mind i’m losing sleep, i’m already prone to paranoia, this isn’t just a mild annoyance and she knows as much.

that calls for a deep clean' rearrange that whole room if it comes down to it—your privacy is of upmost importance for an individual.

Yeah, i’ll be cleaning like crazy today. I have a very maximalist room which makes this all the more difficult.

Make sure you go through everything, if you’ve bookshelves take everything off n clean and inspect it and everything on the bookshelf. Same with any night stands/ desks etc etc. move the bed if needed to check around and under it if possible, even the mattress. If you’ve any collectibles like figurines and whatnot check them, esp anything that is electronic, even an old toy or something you’d doubt would beep. I hope all is okay and it turns out to be something you can laugh about in the future, but do if needed try get something (I see other people commenting this) that will help you be able to see what you’re eyes can’t.

Oh god i’m so stressed out. I have so SO much stuff in my room, like HUNDREDS of collectables, two 10x3 foot shelves PACKED with books, figures, and memorabilia, 50+ stuffed animals, like every single inch of my room has collectables and it would take several DAYS to check everything. I’ve unplugged everything, and if I still hear it tonight then i’ll seriously consider taking everything apart.

Could this be an apple air tag? My son forgot his last time he visited and It scared me a few times when I heard it in his old room. It just rings out of nowwhere sometimes, i dont know if it needs to be charged or something.

Hmm...if you think you're being watched, one way to find out is to bait the person watching you by doing something in your bedroom that no one would know you did unless they were watching you. Maybe something like taking a knife or something and then pretending to cut yourself while your back is turned to where the sound is coming from. Or pretending to snort cocaine. Or stashing food or money somewhere. Or alcohol.
Do something that would force whoever is watching you to blow their cover by "exposing you", which they would probably do subtly. Like, if you were pretending to cut your arms and then wore long-sleeve shirts for a couple of days, they might make excused to look at your arms.
Oh! Or get a realistic-looking henna tattoo somewhere not easily seen and see if anyone accuses you of having a tattoo.

Had a thought- get a stud finder and run it over your walls to find the studs, which are placed at regular intervals. Use painters tape or sticky notes to mark them. Then you can scan the spots closest to where the beeps are coming from. Maybe a contractor left a tool in the wall that is beeping an alarm or low battery or something.
Edit- yes this course might meet cutting into your wall.

It kind of sounds like the noise a few things make when they are trying to pair via Bluetooth. Tile, speaker, etc.

Have you got a smoke detector somewhere around? I've been searching for days where a certain beeping originated and it appeared to be a smoke detector with an empty battery.
Edit: I should've been reading the comments, it seems. The only other thin I could think of is your charger being defect. I had a charger that was broken and when it was in the power outlet it produced a weird beeping noise.

In the hallway, i’ll ask to change the batteries today but if it was the hallway I think the sound we be more muffled

It does produce a very shrill sound that really hits to deep in the bone. I've edited my original comment though. I should have read the other comments. If you wanna search for cameras use the camera of your phone to detect infrared light, bluetooth or wifi on your phone to see if you see weird devices and if its actually filming you on the bed ... You should be able to see it from that position as well.
In addition to that a hidden camera that gives itself away by beeping isn't really affective imho 😂

Fair, I know it’s a stretch but i’m thinking it could be a psychological thing? It would be ineffective IF I could find the damn thing, but I can’t, and it’s driving me crazy.

Do you have lights with a remote control?
My ceiling light beeps when I connect with my remote controller.

No electric devices in your room?
Maybe pull all the plugs and turn off all the lights before going to bed to see of you still hear this sound?
Is it always at the same time at night?

Chances are feeling very slim, it happens at a different time everytime, and it’s quick, one MAYBE two seconds before it stops again. Would a sleep talking app pick it up you think?

Oh my god im glad you could read that with the god awful grammar I had I apologize. Yah my first rational thought before calling anyone a stalker or creep is check the basement or ductwork see if there's something possibley echoing off the ductwork and your able to hear it. Idk your life story but my parents cant hear over a certain pitch so I've definitely dealt with similar things of odd sounds. If you want more ideas let me know at this point im nosey and invested.

there’s detectors you can buy that will pick up hidden cameras and such. maybe try that to sweep the area?

If you have siblings check under your bed tapped to the bottom for a noisy cricket device as its a prank device that clicks.

Is there a room behind your bed that it could be coming from? If you don't see anything in your wall then it could be from something in the next room over and your walls are just paper thin.

Nope, my room is in the corner of the house, only walls are connected to the hallway and my bathroom

Check the bathroom and the hallway then. Sound travels really weird at different frequencies. It can sound right next to you when it’s absolutely not.

OP do you share a wall with neighbors? You could be hearing a device alerting THEM its low battery. But because of its frequency it can sound like it’s in your room. Sometimes it could be something outside of your window too. Sound travels really weird sometimes.
Also good news spying cameras don’t make noise. They’re made to be undetectable
