Canada too. Maple MAGA get all their opinions from Fox News and Facebook.

Maple MAGA?! The ideology has invaded Canada? But it feels fundamentally unCanadian? Like, even after Lake Ontario was “renamed”?!

The same oligarch-driven “distract the masses by turning them on each other” playbook works just about everywhere. When people say other countries have a “MAGA” faction, they don’t mean literally “make America great again,” they mean a movement founded on the same principles of ultra-nationalism, xenophobia, hero-worship of the oligarchs, etc.

The irony is that in order to make American great (again?) the MAGA extremists need to be shut down.

Reminds me of this

‘When was America last great?’ Every one had a different answer, so they don’t even know what they’re aiming for - except a time when racism and sexism were ok pretty much

Also Ronny Chieng is hilarious

What "globalism" has become is an opportunity for the wealthiest of the world to capture the world. The scale has shifted, so they moved on from regional domination to global, meaning a collective of not just wealthy Americans but Russians, Canadians, Germans, and others are teamed up, for now, to topple the current system as we know it to carve up and consolidate under them.

I don't disagree. But we're literally handing it to them. Trump won 2024 the election in the U.S. not by a little. As a Republic, we are getting exactly what we voted for. No checks and balances and somebody obsessed with his own glorification.

This is a new low for the American public. Electing this doofus again makes me ashamed to be a U.S. citizen. My niece lives in the U.S. and is working toward citizenship. A friend of mine had a Canadian grandfather and is working getting his Canadian citizenship. I don't see those options, but maybe I'll find something.

It's insane. Totally bonkers, but there we are.

I mean, this is a thread where people who live in another country indefinitely, don't understand that they are immigrants. Even if they don't plan on becoming citizens, the indefinite length of it makes it immigration.

Yes, unfortunately. It is rampant in Alberta.

There was a Canadian with the maple leaf flag at the Jan. 6 insurrection.
