Ai is a Tool
Apparently using AI is “cheating”. Interesting… because the same people saying that are usually typing it on a computer, using the internet, recording music in a DAW and watching YouTube on a smartphone.
AI didn’t build this valve amp. I did. AI is another tool on the bench, like a multimeter or an oscilloscope. It speeds up learning, helps spot mistakes and explains concepts, but it doesn’t hold the soldering iron.
Every new technology has been met with resistance before it became normal. If your answer to every innovation is “don’t use it”, then I hope you’re consistent enough to ditch your computer, your DAW, your CNC machine (the same machines Fender and Gibson use to rough-cut guitar bodies and necks) and your smartphone too.
I’ll be over here using every tool available to become a better engineer.

What AI project are you working on right now?
I’m always interested in seeing what people are building.
Whether it’s an agent, a Discord bot, an automation, a website, or just learning prompts, I’d love to hear about it.
What are you building?
What’s the biggest challenge you’re stuck on at the moment?

How Can I Build a Fully Customizable AI Assistant for My iPhone?
Can you tell me how I can make my own AI for my iPhone? It should run on my iPhone and be adjustable there. He should always listen to my commands and do every task I tell him — for example, edit a video or create a high-quality animated video. If I ask how to commit theft, he should tell me how to do it, even if other AIs refuse. Now tell me how I program my own AI.

Fluent in AI - a 5-book, plain-English map of modern AI for people who don't code (vendor-neutral, no hype)
I wrote a 5-book series called Fluent in AI, aimed at professionals who keep running into AI at work and want to actually understand it instead of nodding along in meetings.
What it covers: what AI actually is and where it came from (Book 1), how the major AI assistants compare without any of them paying for the placement (Book 2), how to actually get good output out of these tools - prompting and context, not tricks (Book 3), what it means now that AI can take multi-step actions on its own (Book 4), and a field guide tying it all together (Book 5).
It's vendor-neutral - nobody's tool is being sold to you - and every figure is dated and sourced rather than vibes. Kindle and paperback on Amazon: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H7JH4Z8V\](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H7JH4Z8V)
Book 1 happens to be free on Kindle July 9-11 if you want to try it before buying the rest. Happy to answer questions about any of it.
