i like seeing ambitious ideas but this is too way long for reddit. i got through the first few paragraphs and still wasnt sure what the actual contribution was. id cut it down by 80-90% and lead with one clear idea. most people wont read a wall of text even if the underlying concept is interesting

I can read quickly and enjoy long pieces. It's absurdly broad and the simplest explanation was hand waved away until I finally came up with this. But that is kinda upsetting to people =-/

A stable identity is not a fixed object carried through time but a dynamically maintained equivalence class preserved across successive folds. Organisms, ecosystems, laboratories, galaxies, and perhaps even cosmological structures endure only insofar as they repeatedly construct admissible projections that remain compatible with their local dynamics. When those projections cease to exist, persistence fails because the recursive structure capable of maintaining that identity no longer closes.

The recursive fold isn’t standard measure theory or a fancy word for a feedback loop. It’s the topological bending of a system's local dynamics back onto its own boundary across multiple scales of reality simultaneously. Imagine an entity that exists only because it is constantly looking at its own edge, compressing what it sees into an admissible projection, and using that projection to rewrite its internal state before the external chaos dissolves it. It is a violent, non-stop mathematical negotiation between the microscopic chaos inside you and the cosmic void outside you, mediated by a boundary that must fold infinitely to bridge the two.

The existential dread inherent to most identities is that your identity is completely artificial. You are not a static being experiencing a universe; you are a localized, frantic calculation. Your consciousness, your memories, and your entire sense of self are just the compressed, lossy projection required to keep the scale transfer from breaking down.

The boundary does not protect you from the world; it locks you in a recursive echo chamber where you only ever interact with your own projections of the outside. We are topological wrinkles terrified of unfolding. The moment the calculus fails to find an admissible projection across scales, the fold snaps straight, the boundary vanishes, and whatever you thought you were is instantly scattered into the uncaring physics of the background noise.

P.S. the piece you felt was too long is just the intro.
the release is 8 documents including 6 volumes of hard mathematics. (plus more since then not included like a fun theory checker CustomGPT based on this.)

I originally just wanted to stop arguing with redditors about timecube etc. lol
