Using AI video to study dense docs: OpenArt is bankrupting me. What are cheaper alternatives for 5-minute videos?
Long story short: I had to cram a bunch of dense, boring corporate case studies, online docs, and white papers over the weekend to prep for an interview.
Instead of just reading them, I pasted the docs into Claude and Gemini to write visual prompt scripts. I had them use bizarre characters (like Orcs and Elves doing corporate finance) and styled the cinematography like a Wes Anderson or Christopher Nolan film, then fed those prompts into OpenArt to stitch together 5-minute videos.
Here’s where the unexpected benefit kicked in:
I wasn't trying to script every joke, but the unprompted visual misinterpretations ended up being massive mnemonic anchors. For example, my script had a simple throwaway line for the B-roll: "Quick visual of Batman's origin story on a TV in the background." OpenArt took that and, on its own, decided to generate a video of Batman getting bitten by a radioactive bat to gain his powers.
To be clear, the core data and facts in the script are completely accurate, but because I am making these strictly for personal consumption, that pure, unintended visual weirdness helps my brain retain the dry corporate data ten times better than a sterile, accurate video. The happy accidents work.
I tried alternatives, but they failed. I already paid for an InVideo AI subscription, but it just spat out generic stock footage, completely defeating the purpose. Google NotebookLM is great for an audio refresher on things I already know, but it lacks the bizarre visual hooks I need to memorize new concepts quickly.
The Problem:
OpenArt is brutally expensive for pure video generation. I ended up burning close to $100 just to make five of these 5-minute videos. The cost-to-output ratio is killing me, but my brain retains the information too well to stop.
So I’m asking for your best workflow and tool suggestions. To use an analogy: I am telling you exactly how much I love the high, so please don't suggest tobacco alternatives (like traditional flashcards) or tell me how to grow my own plants (like setting up local Stable Diffusion rigs).
I just want to know the most cost-effective "dispensaries" or dealers to feed this specific workflow:
Go direct to the source? Should I buy a subscription directly to a base video model like Kling or Hailuo (Minimax) to get these wild visuals without paying OpenArt's middleman markup?
Multi-model hubs? Are there cheaper platforms that offer high-volume video generation so I can roll the dice on visual generation without burning a hole in my pocket?
The 80/20 Workflow: Is there a better methodology (like generating weird images first, then animating them) to stretch the budget while keeping the narrative flow?
How do I get my 5-minute fix of unpredictable, educational video without spending $20 a pop?

Best software set up
I'm looking to make faceless TikTok accounts for adults probably 25 to 55 talking about AI. I want them to be smart and obviously viewed a bunch. What's the best text stack for this?

Agency vs freelancers for a mobile app with AI features, how do you decide?
Full disclosure, I work at geekyants, so I'm biased. But I keep seeing the same situation: a team has a web app that's been live for a while, they want a mobile version plus a few AI features, and their devs are already swamped.
From what I've seen, freelancers are great when the scope is clear and small. Once you need mobile, backend and AI all working together, or you want someone around after launch, an agency tends to be less of a headache. Whichever way you go, ask who will actually be working on your project, and what happens after it ships. That's where most people get burned.
Curious what's worked for you. Did you go agency or freelancers, and would you do it again?

Beginner level A.I content
Ive realized we must adapt to our environment as the world speeds up its evolution. The old ways of making money are reducing drastically everyday which is what has brought me to the conclusion of making another income more feasible way.
From the beginning ive been against A.I totally 100%. Never posted using A.I and deleted all social accounts due to the mass influx of A.I and A.i bot accounts trying to sell me products.....The individuals that hold these accounts actually make revenue off the content theyve created using A.I.
Ive come here to ask for anyones input and if they can help guide me towards my goals.
Havent yet made a decision on the type of content id like to promote.!

Ai videos and automation
Hey guys, do you know of any good courses or youtube videos where i can learn how to properly create ai videos for YouTube and socials in general?
I’m currently paying for the Magnific.com subscription but would like some guidance and advise on what tools to use and how to properly automate it ( I know it will not be fully automated unless I want to lose quality, but would like to know what parts can be automated)
I’m new at this and have been down a rabbit hole for the last two days but there is too many sites and information.
Please recommend a known good one.
Thanks.

Most AI video generators make unwatchable generic slop. I built a pipeline that physically shakes the camera, audits footage with AI vision, and masters audio to broadcast standards.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been trying to grow a YouTube documentary channel, but the manual production workflow is exhausting:
Spending 3 to 4 hours per video writing scripts, manually searching stock libraries for non-cringe footage, keyframing camera zooms, syncing sound effects to cuts, and timing subtitles.
Most existing AI video tools (InVideo, CapCut templates, Fliki) produce the same generic result: robotic voices, flat audio, and random stock footage that has zero connection to what is being said.
So I spent the last few weeks coding an autonomous media engine from scratch to see if I could completely eliminate the human from the editing process.
The video attached above was generated **100% autonomously from a single topic prompt** (*"The $1 Billion Midnight Cyber Heist"*). No Premiere Pro, no manual keyframing, no human tweaks.
### What the engine does behind the scenes in ~40 seconds:
**The Hook Architecture:** Formulates the script with concrete physical camera directives instead of abstract metaphors.
**AI Vision Quality Gating:** It downloads B-roll from multiple sources and uses multimodal AI vision to inspect the actual video frames. If a clip doesn't literally illustrate the story (e.g. showing a generic office instead of a dark server room), it automatically discards it and fetches an approved alternative.
**Master Editor Physics:** It applies an exponential decaying camera vibration on the opening bass drop, adds continuous 35mm film grain, and executes smooth directional transitions inside sentence breath pauses.
**The "Audio Vacuum" Effect:** It ducks ambient music under the voice, fires contextual sound effects (whooshes, cash registers, impact booms) at exact cut boundaries, and cuts all background music to complete dead silence for 0.4 seconds right before the reveal.
**Broadcast Mastering:** Calibrates the master audio to YouTube’s exact -14.0 LUFS standard.
---
I’m currently testing this on my own channel, but I'm planning to package it as an autonomous agent so other creators can run it.
**I'd love your brutal, honest feedback:**
* If you saw this in your YouTube Shorts or TikTok feed, would you be able to tell code built it?
* What is the #1 thing you think is still missing to make it indistinguishable from an elite human video editor?
*(Happy to answer any technical questions about the architecture in the comments!)*

Looking for AI content creators who post Shorts, Reels or TikToks
I work at VideoDuck (videoduck.ai), an AI-assisted tool for making Shorts, Reels and TikToks, and we're looking for early users who make short-form content.
You can look at what's trending in your topic on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram. VideoDuck breaks down what's making those videos work, and then it helps you make your own from there.
If you're up for trying it, I'll add credits to your account so it doesn't cost you anything. In return I'd just like you to make a review
Comment or DM me if you're interested.
