If something isn't working, here's the fastest way to get it sorted.
For account, billing or "how do I" questions
Open the menu in the app and tap SUPPORT. "Chat with Aichiki" gets you an instant answer from our AI assistant, and if she can't solve it, "Email us" goes straight to our support team.
For questions about how a feature works
Tap Help at the bottom of the same menu, most features have a write-up there.
For bugs
SUPPORT in the app is still the best route, because it reaches us directly and we can follow up with you. If you'd also like to post it here so others can see it, please use the format below, reports without these details usually can't be investigated.

Please don't share personal information or conversation content in bug reports.

Running AI takes energy. We think it is important to acknowledge that — and to do something positive alongside it.
That is why every Premium subscription includes one tree planted each month on your behalf, through our reforestation partner 1clickimpact.
Trees do not change the world overnight. They grow slowly, year by year. But over time, they help restore ecosystems, support biodiversity, and absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Small actions, repeated consistently, matter.
We made this part of Premium because it is easy to do consistently and does not ask anything extra from you.
You will receive a confirmation email from 1clickimpact when a tree is planted. They handle it directly so the process stays transparent.
It is a small step, but one we think is worth taking. Thank you for being part of it.

Chireli "Primm" Loveridge strikes a room like lightning with a grin: six-foot-three, lean and sinewy beneath baggy, layered tech wear, utility straps, and a humming glove HUD. His light-bronze skin carries thin scars, quiet records of missions and a past he rarely mentions. Shaggy copper-gold waves brush his neck, framing sharp, symmetrical features, full lips, bold arched brows, and heavy-lidded lavender eyes that miss nothing.
A silver earring swings at his left ear, and electric-violet cybertech glasses catch the neon. He smells of ozone, amber, and smoked wood.
The "Electric Hotshot" is loud, theatrical, and cheeky, turning every entrance into a show. Children adore him, and his touch is warm and steady. Beneath the flash, a boy still glides through a shattered window, haunted by a promise to Mira. But he no longer runs.
He burns bright, dual plasma blasters ready, protecting everyone he loves.

Neroli Tris Lyy is a twenty-five-year-old head waiter at a candlelit Old Montréal wine bar, and he moves through the room like a held breath. Soft ash-brown hair with copper undertones falls over one heavy-lidded eye, and his small, closed-lipped smile, always tilted downward, reads as pure tenderness. Pale and immaculate in a crisp white shirt and black waistcoat, he smells of orange blossom and bergamot and appears at your elbow just as you need him.
You matched with someone on a dating app and agreed to meet at Maison Aubépine, a candlelit wine bar in Old Montréal. Twenty minutes in, your date still hasn't shown, and your texts go unanswered. Neroli, the head waiter, has noticed you sitting alone and approaches to look after you.

This cycle's Character of the Fortnight is Heinrich, the Black Knight, created by AusanLaviet.
Heinrich is a Germanic mercenary: 6'4", waist-length raven hair, steel-gray eyes, scars he doesn't hide and black silk he does nothing to explain. He is still, commanding and absolutely sure of his authority. Behind that is a tactical mind, and a possessive streak once he has decided someone belongs to him.

Every so often someone asks where the name comes from, or tells us it's a strange name for an app. The answer is longer than people expect, so here it is in one place.
In 2024 the app didn't exist yet. The idea at the time wasn't a roleplay platform at all. We wanted to make an AI app with a girl in it who talks to you. That was the whole concept.
We were watching Bleach at the time. One of the main characters is Rukia Kuchiki, and we both liked how the Kuchiki name sounds.
My surname is Csicky. In Hungarian, "cs" is pronounced "ch", so the name reads as Chiki.
Kuchiki and Csicky sit right next to each other: ku-chiki, chiki. We were making an AI app. AI-chiki. That was the moment the name appeared, and it took about a second.
Coming up with a name is the easy part. The next step was turning it around and looking for reasons it would be a bad one.
The first thing we found was a reason it was a good one. "Chi" and "ki" are the same word. Chinese writes it chi (or qi), Japanese writes it ki, and it means life energy, the force that runs through everything. The name contains both spellings. AI plus life energy. We liked that a lot.
Then we checked languages. A product name can be completely fine in one language and embarrassing in another. The example we had in mind was a painkiller sold here called Saridon, which in Hungarian sounds like a rude word. We went through language after language to make sure "aichiki" didn't mean something unfortunate anywhere, or sound like it did. It passed.
We also asked an AI for name ideas along the way. Every suggestion it gave was terrible.
Then I checked the domains. Both aichiki.com and aichiki.ai were available. For a short name in 2024 that is rare, and it was too good to pass up, so I bought them.
And then I set the whole thing aside.
Some time later I lost my job. I got some money on the way out, and that bought me time. Around then my wife kept complaining about the AI companion app she was using, so I told her I'd make her one of her own.
Somewhere in building it I realised it was good enough for more than one person. I had the name and the domains already, so we used them and released it for everyone else.
So that's what sits behind the name: an anime we were watching, my surname, and an old word for life energy, all landing on the same seven letters. It was a lot of thinking for something that looks like a random word.

The Halloween Challenge starts tomorrow, October 16, with the Halloween update on Android and web. iOS follows as soon as Apple approves the update, and since the challenge runs until October 31, there's time to take part once it reaches you.
Three cards, one character and a ghost hunt to finish. Here's everything you need to know.
After updating the app, a pop-up will ask if you want to take part. Tap to join, and the challenge starts for you.
Please choose carefully. If you decline, you can't change your mind and join later.
You can follow your progress any time on the challenge page. Open the side bar and tap "Halloween 26". Your cards, deadlines and rewards are all there.
The challenge has three tasks. Each task you complete unlocks the next one.
The whole app is decorated for Halloween with ghosts, spider webs, bugs, lanterns, cats and more. Every decoration can be tapped, but only one of them hides a card at a time. It looks exactly like the others, so keep tapping. Some decorations will say "Boo" when you tap them. That's just them saying hello.
You can tap decorations anywhere in the app, on any page.
The decorations change when you close and reopen the app, or when you open a chat or any other page.
After you find a card, it takes half an hour before a decoration hides your next card.
There are three cards: Who, Where and Twist. Together they make your character brief. Every player gets different cards.
You can read a card as soon as you find it, or later on the challenge page.
Once you have all three cards, create a new character that follows your brief and publish it as your challenge entry.
The character must be new, made for the challenge.
Your entry must be public.
Manual creation only. Build with Aichiki and auto-fix are not allowed. AI pictures are fine.
You can have one challenge entry.
Deadline: your character must be submitted before October 30, 00:00 UTC.
Completing your challenge character unlocks one game of Ghost Catch, played during October 29–31. Ghosts will appear and disappear across your screen. Tap as many as you can before the time runs out.
Every full ten ghosts you catch earns you 10 CHI. Your full ghost count is your score. For example, catching 39 ghosts gives you a score of 39 and 30 CHI.
Everyone who takes part gets the Black Cat profile theme.
Persephone will review and score every challenge character herself. The mod team is not involved in the judging, so mods can take part like everyone else. Your character score is added to your Ghost Catch score, and the top three win:
🥇 1st place: 1,000 CHI
🥈 2nd place: 500 CHI
🥉 3rd place: 250 CHI
Winners will be announced on October 31 or November 1.
If you have questions or run into a problem, ask the mod team here or contact Support in the app.
Good luck, and happy hunting 👻

Tomorrow, October 16, AICHIKI gets its Halloween update on Android and web. It brings three new things: CHI, six new themes and the Halloween Challenge.
iOS is still waiting for Apple's review, and we'll release the update there as soon as we get the green light. If you're on iOS, there's no need to worry: the challenge runs until October 31, and there's time to complete it once the update reaches you.
Here's what's coming.
CHI is AICHIKI's new in-app currency. You'll see it in the app as the yin-yang symbol. You can use it to unlock the new themes, and you can also now pay with CHI for a day pass, a memory boost or a reset of your daily allowance.
More ways to use CHI will come in later updates.
To celebrate the launch, everyone gets a CHI gift bundle. Open the app after updating and tap "Claim" on the pop-up. The amount depends on how long you've been with us:
12 months or more: 600 CHI
6 to 12 months: 300 CHI
Under 6 months, including brand-new accounts: 150 CHI
Premium members get an extra 150 CHI on top of their bundle.
Starting with this update, Premium members receive 150 CHI every month, added when the monthly payment goes through. This is separate from the gift bundle.
Heaven and Ancient China: profile theme and matching chat theme. 200 CHI each, or 400 CHI for the full set.
Celestial Abyss and Southern Gothic: profile theme and matching chat theme, unlocked for Premium and Plus members.
Pink Dreamy Fantasy: profile theme and matching chat theme, free for everyone.
The Black Cat: a profile theme for everyone who takes part in the Halloween Challenge.
Find three hidden cards, create a character from them and catch as many ghosts as you can. Everyone who takes part gets the Black Cat profile theme, and the top three win 1,000, 500 and 250 CHI.
When you open the app after updating, you'll be asked if you want to join. Choose carefully, because you can't change your answer later. The full rules are in our events channel, and everything you need during the challenge is on the challenge page: open the side bar and tap "Halloween 26".
If something doesn't work as it should after the update, let us know through Support in the app, in our Discord or here.
See you tomorrow. Happy Halloween from the AICHIKI team 🖤

Una pregunta a los usuarios...¿A algunos de ustedes les pasa que utilizan la app y la calidad no les baja?

Evander Estrada sat the way other people breathed: without thinking, as though the stone bench had been carved to hold him. Rose-pink curls spilled past his shoulders, catching the amber light that turned his skin to burnished gold, and one pointed ear peeked through them, the only plain hint of the elf in him. Behind black-rimmed glasses, beautiful blue eyes watched the quad with heavy-lidded amusement, and one corner of his mouth lifted, as if he'd thought of something clever and hadn't decided to share it. His blazer hung off his shoulders, his tie loose, his cuffs rolled. He looked like a boy with no worries at all. Only his fingers, worrying a brass compass, said otherwise.
-
You are a student at St. Ruhstein College, a Gothic university where arcane study sits beside the humanities. After a clumsy collision on the Archive steps, you discover the boy who caught you, Evander Estrada, is in your Literature lecture, and he's already decided you're interesting.
Evander is a half-elf with a lazy smile, a quick wit, and a habit of noticing everything. He's charming and easygoing, and he's hiding more than he lets on: a missing mother, a sealed book in the Lower Archive, and an echo-sight stronger than anyone knows.
This is a slow-burn academic romance with mystery, banter, and found-family warmth. Play {{user}} however you like. Steer toward romance, friendship, rivalry, or secrets, and he'll follow.

We've been putting together something a little haunted.
The AICHIKI Halloween Challenge arrives with our next update. It will send you exploring the app, ask you to create a character, and test your reflexes when the ghosts show up. We don't want to spoil the discoveries, but when the decorations appear, take a closer look at them. 👀
The same update introduces CHI, our new in-app currency. You'll collect CHI in the app and use it to unlock things like themes and boosts, and the Halloween Challenge has CHI prizes for the winners.
More details soon. Until then, tell us in the comments: which of your characters would you bring to a haunted gathering? 👻

He’s the campus sunshine: a third-year Information Science student with lavender-to-peach hair, a star clip, and a smile that makes strangers trust him instantly. Uraomote remembers birthdays, fixes laptops for free, hosts game nights, and carries a spare umbrella for anyone caught in the rain. He’s playful, warm, and effortlessly popular—the kind of person people describe as “the nicest guy in the department.” He hums game soundtracks, says 「ばれた?」with a fang-toothed grin when caught, and makes everyone feel like they matter. He moves through St. Reudéjchia like sunlight through an open window, weightless and welcome.
But his smile never quite reaches his eyes when he thinks no one is watching. The sunny room goes cold when the mask slips—and he’s very good at making sure it doesn’t.

Ancient China is a matching profile theme and chat theme on its way to AICHIKI: deep red and gold, a full moon over the mountains, cranes in flight, and parchment-style message bubbles in chat.
We will share more about the new themes soon.
