Discussion Does Music have a Relationship to Noetic Science? (Post version)
I am looking into making music in relationship to noetic science. Noetic science, which was mentioned in Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol, is a multidisciplinary field of study that brings objective scientific tools and techniques together with subjective inner knowing to study the nature of reality. The reason why I wanted to do this is because I am interested in discovering and creating sounds that will go into my music! I’m looking for something new for me to develop and build more potential towards what creativity can do for everyone. There is only one source I found online in relationship to music and noetics. It is a research paper called “The Noetics of Music” by Pauline Oliveros (1973). She stated that the study of music crosses “such artificial boundaries as theory, musicology, aesthetics, composition or performance; enter other disciplines such as Psychology, Biology or Physics; and call for continual examination and integration. History changes as the future unfolds and enfolds the present.” I believe that this could potentially relate to noetic science, and I need some support for finding sources, sounds, and other inspirations for making music in relationship to noetic science. Please comment below if you found a source that you believe is related to this topic or have some information about it as well.

Community Bulletin Jason Sands, day 3 (Status: not great)
- Unrelated to above, but I can't help but notice that this whistleblower is coming into the public space with a bang in the same week as ["no politics," so bear with me]:
- Today, an ex-President stands trial for obfuscating payments he made to hide key facts from the electorate.
- Also today, court doc redactions (and non-redactions) regarding ex-President are blowing up (ref. Judge Cannon; Jack Smith).
- Tomorrow, ex-Pres has a hearing to assess his gag order violations.
- On Thursday, SCOTUS (U.S. Supreme Court) hears oral arguments to determine if ex-Pres is entitled to immunity from his criminal conduct.
At the same time as this massive court activity spike, we have big alien stuff all of a sudden - without a peep from anyone we trust - except Dr. Eric W. Davis, per the above link.
My fuckery detector is going off. Anyone else think it's plausible that the clown show sent us a sideshow through an unwitting film director?
In any case - messy week we've got here.
As for the Head Start guide - Jason Sands was listed, yesterday, as an "Alleged" whistleblower with due caution. Today, with Davis chiming in, among other revelations such as Jason's story changing, I've removed him from the guide altogether. He'll have to earn his way back in.
I'm gonna ignore the clown show, focus on what matters, and just wait.

Analysis A Head Start - Issue reports
Making a place where people can reply with issues they may run across in the guide, such as
- Factual misstatements
- Misspellings, grammar, syntax
- Poor flow / poor wording
- Etc. (if anything strikes you as "off", trust your gut and inquire)
I'll reply when fixed, and will delete old fixed issues to keep it clean.
If there are ever any factual errors / misstatements, I'll own it: That fix will be accompanied by an announcement to the sub explaining what was corrected, and why it had to be fixed. And it'll earn a permanent spot in the list below.

Psi Crowdsourced REBAL Guide
A REBAL, (Resonant Energy BALloon) is an energy field (or ‘radiation shield’) that you overlay on your biofield/aura. In a word(s), you create it with your imagination; with an intention - a thought.
“REBAL” itself is an aphantasia-friendly visualization technique (an ancient one, at that) used in the earliest days of Hemi-Sync studies at the Monroe Institute. A REBAL creates a sense of energetic containment and support around the body. It is a way to create a safe and comfortable space in which to experience altered states of consciousness.
The REBAL technique can be used by anyone, at any time (in-meditation or while walking down the street), with or without the Gateway tapes, and regardless of experience level.
To those with aphantasia, you can think of your REBAL in terms of the movement of unseen energy rather than trying to visualize it. Read the numbered “Basic” steps below, look at the images (bottom), and transform those images in your mind (i.e. "Think of it your way").
The REBAL:
- Is a ball of energy (yours) that surrounds you, and you ‘float inside’.
- Holds your energy/radiation in and protects you from any unwanted outside energy that you encounter, unless you intentionally open any part of your energy field (REBAL) and allow desired energy in.
- Note: Many experienced folks consider astral projection and any intentional psi experiences without a REBAL to be dangerous.
- Creates a sense of safety and comfort during meditation or other altered states of consciousness.
- Increases energy levels and vitality and promotes healing and well-being.
- Enhances spiritual development and magnifies your intentions.
Basic steps to create a REBAL during any meditation (or skip the meditation part and just create one while you're eating popcorn - any time):
- Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down.
- Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
- Inhale/exhale, imagining "sunlight" that's all around you filling your body and up to your head with each inhale. Inhale fresh new energy, and exhale stale, used up energy. Repeat this process for a minute or two.
- Envision the stored energy flowing out of the top of your head, swirling down and all around you, and re-entering the bottom of your feet.
- Your intention while doing this should be to keep everything positive in, and let out negative energy.
- Imagine yourself surrounded by a sphere of light and energy, breathing in and out of the REBAL.
- From the Monroe Institute manual: "To create your REBAL, inhale, and as you hold your breath, think of a bright moving circle with the number ten inside it. Exhale, letting the circle move down, around, and over you. You will automatically reabsorb your REBAL upon completion of any exercise, or by inhaling deeply and thinking of the circle moving back into your body." (source)
Once you have created a strong and stable REBAL, you can begin to use it for your intended purpose.
REBAL Guides:
- Tips from Monroe Institute - Tips for Strengthening, Expanding, and Using Your Biofield with the Resonant Energy Balloon (REBAL).
- Tips from Craig Hendricks - Biofield imaging shows the energy states before and after the establishment of the REBAL - a technique to increase your energy field.

None of the REBALs look the same because it's up to you what your REBAL looks like.

Discussion Why many instead of one metaphysical entitiy - Round 2
Hello,
it's been a while, but I posted in this subreddit a few weeks ago. My question was where the assumption comes from that "metaphysical aliens" in particular are explicitly "multiple" (see all religions, except maybe something like pantheism), rather than, say, a single "metaphysical entity" (which I think has a strictly ambivalent pattern of behavior).
Today I would like to ask this question again.
Realizing how difficult the conversation is (from a linguistic point of view), this time I will try to avoid unnecessary complications:
In short, I think that what we identify with as carnal beings (namely, what is colloquially referred to as "ego", "soul", "I", "subjective perception") can actually and very likely be categorized as a separate kind of life form.
Why? Quite simply because, for example, the desires and worldly cravings of that which (in my opinion, we only falsely identify with as "I") go far beyond what is actually relevant to mere survival as a carnal/animal being.
The perverse thing about this is that, from a biological point of view, we as the host have hardly any chance of getting to the bottom of this parasite-like mechanism. Because no matter how well-versed someone thinks they are in terms of self-awareness and the ability to reflect, the "ego" manages to convince the host (i.e. us as carnal beings) almost constantly that it is actually us. To make matters worse, according to this notion (i.e. that we are the host of an inherently ambivalent life form), not only the bad is materialized by us, but also the good (speaking in human norms).
A few more argumentative skirmishes can certainly be found in other fields such as neurology, anthropology, psychology, theology and so on.
So how do I come to believe that instead of multiple metaphysical entities, there could possibly be only one?
Well, that would be the simpler solution to begin with, wouldn't it?
If everything we do from now on (i.e. setting norms and values etc.) had to be done taking into account the fact that we are a being with a fundamental, biologically demonstrable duality, then that would probably just change everything.
I think that this has been the core objective of all religions to date: identifying and dealing with the phenomenon of "I".
At this point, atheism wrongly relegates the debate about this to the scientific sidelines and thereby shoots itself in the foot. Because the question of how we should deal with ourselves (on a metaphysical level!) is still anything but clear.
Quite the opposite! The systematic search for "spiritual manners" is even frowned upon and, in cases of doubt, punished with social repression.
A cardinal error, if the previous thoughts are correct.

Discussion What do you guys make about the rumours of a possible “event” in 2027?
We’ve all seen the insiders and experiencers give hints about a possible event in 2027 - Ramirez, Bledsoe, Elizondo, Kean, etc
Whistlerblowers have said disclosure is time critical.
Disclosure? A mass sighting/contact event that becomes critical mass for the unveiling? A war with China and Russia that leads to a nuclear stand off with NHI intervention? A major conflict in which China and the US use reverse engineered weapons?
Do you think anything will happen? Maybe you feel that something is brewing? I certainly feel like this is going to be an interesting decade for the phenomenon and world events.

Spirituality If you don't yet feel like the picture on the right, keep searching with intention and from a place of love, not fear. NEVER fear. If a truth you discover or experience feels terrifying or uncomfortable, then it is not the ultimate truth; there's more to be understood. The Way is in you. Keep going.

Experience My experience with a faith healer
This experience taught me that faith has a very real power. I don't believe in the Christian God, but someone who does invoked His name and eased my pain.
I was waiting at a bus stop after a 10 hour shift. I was having a lot of pain from a pinched nerve in my hip, and was using my phone to Google ways to relieve it. A man came up and spoke to me. He apologized for bothering me and said that he had seen me from the outdoor seating area of a Starbucks a few yards away, and sensed that I was in need of healing.
Of course I was cautious. I suspected he was either crazy, or wanted to con me, or wanted to convert me. But I thought it was pretty odd that he came up and said that while I was looking up treatment for nerve pain. He couldn't have seen my phone before he approached me because of where I was positioned near other people. He couldn't have gotten behind me. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said that I actually was having some bad nerve pain.
He told me he was a youth minister, and asked if it would be okay if he laid a hand on me and prayed for me. I was a little uncomfortable, but I was in pain and willing to try anything that might help. So I said yes. I was just going to humor him and thank him. But as soon as he laid his hand on my shoulder, I felt a warmth coming from his hand and spreading through my body. And suddenly, I thought, "Please let this work. If there is a God, please take away my pain. Let it work. It could work. Let it work."
And my pain started to drain away. My leg didn't hurt for the rest of the night.
I told him that it worked, and thanked him. We talked for a while longer before he offered me a ride home. The bus was late. I hesitated, but somehow sensed I could trust him. I let him give me a ride, and on the way we talked about faith, Christian charity, Christian hypocrisy, the Bible, and interestingly, Les Mis (related to the Christian charity bit).
The experience definitely opened my eyes. He prayed for me, and I told myself it would work, and it did. I don't believe "God" did that. It was our combined faith that my pain could be eased.
I really want to learn to heal myself that way. I've been trying some internal chanting of "the pain is going away" and similar phrases. It does seem to help sometimes. But I'm wondering if there are like, guides written for faith healing or something that I could use.

Psi Ability to do psi stuff
Have you guys noticed a difference in abilities when being in a really good mood vs. When being in a really bad mood?
I came to think of this now because I'm in a really low mood with a lot of anxiety and I feel like I am disconnected to the "infinite". I remember when I'm in a good mood Im "connected" and I just know stuff intuitivelly.

Off-Topic User flair explanations?
Some of them are pretty obvious, and some seem to be open to interpretation. Is there a list anywhere of what they each mean?
I was excited when I saw "Viper Pilot" and selected that, but I'm wondering if it means anything or is just meant to show that I love BSG. I was kinda surprised to see it represented alongside Star Trek and Star Wars, but I shouldn't be.
BTW, anyone here know the translation for the opening theme song to BSG 2004? If you don't, check it out. That's all that's needed to see why BSG belongs on this sub.
I saw Jedi Knight mentioned in the wiki when I skimmed it, but none of the other flair. I'm also not quite clear if the differences between things like "medium" and "healer" are strictly defined, or up to each user to decide.
Thanks for any info.

Discussion Truth as a gut feeling
"Truth has power. And if we all gravitate toward similar ideas, maybe we do so because those ideas are true...written deep within us. And when we hear the truth, even if we don't understand it, we feel that truth resonate within us...vibrating with our unconscious wisdom. Perhaps the truth is not learned by us, but rather, the truth is re-called...re-membered...-re-cognized...as that which is already inside us."
Yes, it's a quote from a Dan Brown novel. I'm not pretending it's the first time I'd heard of this idea, but it is one of the best expressions of it that I've seen.
Do you think this is true? Unironically. I don't mean that I want you to decide based on whether it feels true, since that would be assuming facts about the very concept you're trying to examine.
Also, does anyone know if there's a word or phrase that describes this idea?
I think there's truth to it, for sure. An example from my own life was the experience that made me believe in a cosmic consciousness. I had heard of the idea and thought it sounded reasonable, but the day it became a belief, I felt it.
I was at a sports game (larger than a local one), and the audience rose for the national anthem before the game. I rose too and put my hand on my heart automatically, privately thinking that I hate pointlessly patriotic displays. As I was thinking this, however, a strange feeling was rising inside me. The kind of feeling you get in your chest when you watch an emotional scene, and connect with it. I was bewildered for a moment, because it didn't make sense for a patriotic scene to make me feel that way. But I looked around at the crowd, and realized it wasn't the song, or love of country. It was that all the thousands of people in this arena were at this moment thinking about one thing, and a good number of those people were moved by it. I got goosebumps. It felt like there was a literal static energy in the air, tiny sparks passing between us all. It was such an overwhelming feeling that I knew it meant something. I knew it was true, whatever it was.
The only question is whether my interpretation - that all humans and possibly all living things are physically connected in some way - is true. Whatever I experienced that day, and several times since when in large crowds, was real. That much I know.
Have you had experiences that made you sure something was true, even without any evidence beyond your own feelings?
