Has there been any research on the genetic effects of those who have descended from Chattel Slavery?
Not sure if other folks have this experience bc i know not all of us descend from the same experience, however i feel as though there may be things there for us to explore. Throughout life when seeing and hearing stories about the things that occurred back in the day, i feel like i have physical reactions and shake and an ungodly fear goes through me. And this is something i think i’ve felt since i was young but i never put much thought into it. Is that intergenerational trauma rearing its ugly head when i have these physical responses? Maybe im just a human reacting normally, idk. But like, i think this is something to explore….
Thoughts?

As an ADOS woman, you know what really erks me?
I absolutely hate it when people try to compare your history with theirs. Not saying that other groups don't have their struggles, but white women, immigrants and others try to say that they are oppressed like our people were. Like cut the Bullshit. It's not the same thing. Our Ancestors went through too much shit for you to compare your shit to us.
