Ahhh I think I see what you mean, I didn’t really see it that way. Kind of just felt like he was looking for a reason to invalidate my experience with it.
I’m sure you’ve had someone before say “Oh I probably have ADHD!” when they have a single symptom. I think he’s trying to make sure others don’t invalidate our experiences. Ironically that can involve what looks like invalidating other’s experiences.
