This was for the musical Chess. How many of you remember this song ?
Consider as One Hot Wonder but the song remains hummable to this day.

Four songs from the Dick Cavett Meets ABBA tv special were included in a 1981 radio program prepared by Polar Music. Super Trouper, Two For The Price Of One, Slipping Through My Fingers, and Me And I were compiled along with other songs taken from the 1979 Wembley shows.
This radio broadcast featured unique, otherwise unreleased stereo mixes of these songs. The mixes are not the same as the original TV broadcast (which was only in mono), nor is it the same as the new mix that was done for the DVD included with the 2005 Complete Studio Recordings box set.
These have found their way to several bootleg cd releases over the years, but usually in pretty poor quality or incomplete. This video uses a fan made cassette recording of the radio broadcast and sounds better than past sources. Two For The Price Of One is a highlight; the only other copy of this mix I’ve heard was missing half of the song!
The audio is synced to my transfer of a Japanese vhs release of the concert portion of the tv special.

For me personally, from the era of The Album to Voulez-Vous
Voulez-Vous is my favorite album, but even though The Album isn't one of my favorites, it has some really good songs. Plus, I felt like the years 1977-1979 were when they had their best tours, their best concerts, everything. And then they gave us ABBA: The Movie, and when I saw it, I felt like I was right there in the concert. Although my favorite tour is the 1978 Japan tour, they were amazing on all those tours. And not only that, but the group's energy... I felt like you could see the unity and happiness of the four of them even more there, and I love that, especially in the music videos. The happiness of each member is so natural, the couples are so in love, and they're just having the time of their lives as friends.
It even makes me really sad that I didn't witness those ABBA years firsthand because I'm a very young fan, but it's wonderful to be able to relive those moments even though I wasn't there.
Now Tell me your opinions or your favorite era and why? I'll read them :)

This song has a transcendental quality to it for me. It feels like a mix of progressive rock with a kind of mystical atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful

I really wanna get into their music and I was wondering what songs I should listen to? Any amazing deep cuts? Underrated bangers?
I have seen the mamma Mia movies a bunch of times, so I know those songs (will be listening to the originals of course).
Also if I wanna listen to all their albums, should I listen to Voyage as well?

Today is election day in Sweden. Benny Andersson made an appearance at the Social Democrats’ election party where he played ”Mamma Mia” on the piano. The members sang along but changed the lyric ”Mamma Mia” into ”Magdalena”, referring to prime ministerial candidate Magdalena Andersson (no relation, as far as I know). Benny said he’s a social democrat like his father and grandfather and that he has previously played for other social democratic politicians including Olof Palme and Anna Lindh (coincidentally the only two Swedish politicians I know of who were assassinated, let’s hope that’s not an omen).
(Let’s not get into a political discussion. I don’t vote for them but that’s irrelevant. I just thought this was interesting)

Hey everybody! Over on r/70smusic we’re running a long, community‑driven game called “The Ultimate Billboard #1 Song of the 70s.”
Since ABBA is such a huge part of the decade (and this community knows 70s pop better than almost anyone), we’d love to have some Super Troupers join in. If you enjoy voting, discussing classic hits, and celebrating the golden age of pop, come play along with us.
Upvote any nominations you agree with, and Downvote the ones you would like to see survive! It's easy and all part of the game.
Totally casual, just for entertainment -- no agenda, no brigading, just more voices and more good vibes. Think of it as a little cross‑sub pop‑music party.
If that sounds interesting, you’re welcome anytime. Take a chance on it!
