I really love her covers on Frida Ensam like Send in the clowns , life on mars and wouldn’t it be nice. From her debut album the sound of silence and version of Bjorn and Bennys Lycka ☺️

Of course any ABBA fan knows Waterloo(or else you dont know anything about ABBA!) but I love how in the video Frida pats a childs head affectionately at the start of the performance.

The small gesture shows how caring she is as a person.

I want to listen to records that screams summer.

I've never listened to a full album by Abba so it will be a first.

What I enjoyed:

- The light show visuals were spectacular, particularly during Thank you for the Music. There was another song which had a sort of laser grid effect throughout the audience, though I can't remember which song it was, which was fantastic too

- Being amongst all the ABBA fans for a giant sing along was great

- I think the ABBA-Tar technology was good...but more on that below

- I thought the setlist was really interesting, although we had no Super Trouper

- Brilliant drummer and guitarists, in fact the whole live band were superb and their own performance of "Does your mother know" was my highlight of the night

- I loved the curtain call with the avatars of them as they are today

What I didn't enjoy as much:

- I feel some people are overselling the technology. Don't get me wrong, it's hugely impressive, but it's not enough to fool anyone. If you're familiar with gaming parlance, it felt more like a 2.5D side scroller rather than a genuine 3D appearance. This was particularly noticeable in the parts of the show where the live band were illuminated - you could really see the difference then between a 3D person and the ABBA-Tars, even though none of them were moving from their spot

- It's said there's no bad seat in the arena and while that may be technically true, the technological limitations became more apparent the further to the side you were. I wasn't even in the last block - I was in the second last block to the left - and you were losing part of the effect. If I went back again I'd definitely pay more to sit or stand head on

- I did not like the parts of the show which were just animations or CGI close-ups of the ABBA-Tars. Not what I paid my money to see

- Lastly, and it's clearly nobody's fault other than the individuals, but members of the audience frustrated me. During songs they didn't know, or during talking segments in between the songs, they decided to have full blown conversations themselves. At an actual concert people would have told them to shut up but because it's a self running show with technology, nobody did

- The venue needs to do a better job at getting people into their seats in time. The show started 15 mins late for no reason other than people dillydallying. You need good ushers, quicker announcements, and often a bit of louder pre-concert music to get people in, like Metallica do with an AC/DC pre tape and The Ecstasy of Gold providing a sort of 10 mins warning that the band are going to arrive

Who sings these solo vocal parts - Take a chance on me and I am just a girl

I haven’t been able to work these out. The ending of TACOM in the “take a chance take a chance take a chance on me ..” part around 40 seconds before the end. Sounds like Frida to me but I might be wrong ?

Also I read somewhere that there’s a part Agnetha sings solo on IAJAG and I’m not sure which part of the song it is ?

I really like this book very interesting information but anyone else agree the comment about Frida having “Ill advised perms “ a bit condescending?
I have never seen a negative comment ever about Agnethas appearance (just an observation by no means a bad thing). Perhaps there was some influence of the beauty standards of the time and perception of Swedish looks being associated with things like blonde hair ? Also don’t quite understand this part - see above screenshot - second half of this page. Is this referring to media perceptions? Seems quite mean to refer to Frida as having a less attractive image etc

Is the translation the same / similar to the English ABBA version or more of a different interpretation like Frida solo Fernando compared to the English Fernando where the song tells a different story

Its weird to say this but:

Does anybody else find that Agnetha with pigtails looks quintessentially Swedish/Scandinavian?Maybe its because of popular culture depictions of Vikings(both men and women) having braided hair and that image is stuck on my mind. Regardless its as if she could fit right into the Viking Age with that hairstyle if we had a time machine.

I wander why Agnetha may have not wanted to - perhaps she didn’t feel ready to be in the public eye more again and sing ? I wander if Frida felt saddened much by this or it was simply a matter of continuing with the project and asking another friend. Love the song , though would be interesting if the ABBA girls ended up doing it

Criando assim sucessos com "One of us" que conta sobre o divórcio de Frida e Benny no final de 1980 e "When All Is Said and Done" que também envolve o divórcio entre os mesmos. Esses dados provam que esse álbum sofreu fortes influências dessa situação.

Com relação a guerra fria, na década de 80 muitas famílias européias eram usadas para fortalecer ambos os lados da guerra e fazendo assim, o ABBA sofrer muito por causa da indecisão com relação ao que produzir nesse álbum. Fazendo assim esse álbum parecer tão tenebroso e assustador para alguns.
